We stayed half-board but we cancelled our dinners at the hotel restaurant the very first night as we had waited one hour and a half to get our steak, which was overcooked and cold. The other dish (lamb) never arrived at the table.
All the other guests weren't getting their food either.
We would have appreciated if the staff explained us why was this happening but they didn't spontaneously do so. When we asked them, they told us that the chef wasn't there, and that they just didn't have enough kitchen staff. Unacceptable organisation and not even the decency to tell guests in advance.
When we complained with the hotel manager, she didn't apologise not a single time for our bad experience.
Hotel room in complete darkness, toilet looked super old and not well maintained, with red paint from the walls all over the heater, hair dryer etc. We had a room under the roof so we had to bend to walk to the balcony. A room like this shouldn't exist in a 4 stars hotel.
Definitely not recommending and not returning.
Ich hatte das Vergnügen, im Hotel Le Refuge des Aiglons in Chamonix zu übernachten und gebe ihm eine Bewertung von 4,5 Sternen! Der Service war einfach perfekt, die Rezeption war sehr hilfsbereit und das Frühstück war vorzüglich.
Das Personal im Hotel war äußerst zuvorkommend und freundlich. Die Rezeption war stets bemüht, alle unsere Fragen zu beantworten und uns nützliche Informationen über die Umgebung zu geben. Es gab sogar themenbezogene Abende, die eine nette Abwechslung waren.
Das Frühstück im Hotel war köstlich und bot eine große Auswahl an frischen Speisen und Getränken. Es gab für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei und die Qualität der Produkte war hervorragend.
Der Spa- und Poolbereich des Hotels war ein echtes Highlight. Es war der perfekte Ort, um sich nach einem Tag voller Aktivitäten zu entspannen. Der Wellnessbereich war gut ausgestattet und bot eine Vielzahl von Annehmlichkeiten für die Gäste.
Allerdings war das Hotel in der Hauptsaison sehr voll, was zu Stoßzeiten zu einer gewissen Hektik führen konnte. Die Zimmer waren etwas zu dunkel, was im Sommer nicht störte, aber an regnerischen Herbsttagen etwas deprimierend sein konnte.
Insgesamt hatte ich einen angenehmen Aufenthalt im Hotel Le Refuge des Aiglons. Der erstklassige Service, das leckere Frühstück und der entspannende Spa-Bereich haben meinen Aufenthalt bereichert. Ich würde dieses Hotel definitiv empfehlen, insbesondere für einen Besuch während der wärmeren Jahreszeit.
