Desde 1793, el hotel Cruz Blanca recibe a los huéspedes del mundo entero que vienen a descubrir las bellezas de Chamonix y a desafiar la montaña. ¡Muchos nombres del alpinismo se han alojado en sus paredes! Es decir, es una institución en el corazón de la ciudad y frente al Mont Blanc. Las habitaciones, con mobiliario rústico, tienen carácter en un ambiente que combina hábilmente una gran tradición y confort actual. Se toma el sol en la terraza de la mítica Brasserie del M, para un plato tradicional o en el bar de tapas para disfrutar de los últimos rayos, al aperitivo. Un hotel histórico, asequible con vistas, en pleno centro.

We got our room 3.5hrs early. The tourist info to pick up the passes is a couple of minutes walk as is the Intersport for equipment hire. Stops for buses to the various hills are within 5-10min walk. Loads of good places to eat and shop nearby.
The rooms are basic but quite large. It did get hot overnight but leaving the window open helped. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom and toilet functioned just fine. The shower gel/shampoo seemed good.
The room to store boards/skis/boots was good.
Breakfast was good and there was free hot drinks and cold water in reception and often free leftover croissants and pain au chocolats.
Overall we had a good time.

The hotel has 24hr reception which was very useful with staff who were helpful and treated you like valued guests. Other features of the hotel worth mentioning are the boot room, coffee machine (included) and although its not a feature itself its worth saying; nice clientele.
It's an authentic skiing hotel which I enjoyed staying at.
