Cet hôtel magique a gardé tout le charme et l’authenticité d’antan. La décoration est magnifique, les vues sur le Palais des papes sont époustouflantes et la gentillesse des équipes est incroyable!
Et le petit-déjeuner divin!

Chambre agréable compte tenu du prix , pourrais être un peu plus confortable ou luxueuse encore

We stayed there now various times and it’s excellent. A classic hotel, unique location,with style.

Que nous aimons venir à la Mirande ! Prendre le thé quand nous habitions Avignon, venir à l’hôtel depuis que nous sommes à Bordeaux, profiter du restaurant ou des ateliers en cuisine,… tout est parfait ! C’est comme un maison ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Quelques photos de notre dernier passage à la Mirande valent mieux qu’un commentaire… une mention spéciale au petit déjeuner ???? Une expérience incroyable tous les matins !

Notre expérience au salon de thé a été décevante ! Une demi-heure d'attente pour la commande, des jeunes serveurs qui tirent la gueule et passent à côté sans regarder les clients, une fois la commande prise encore de l'attente, pour avoir au final un café fade avec des glaçons au lieu du latté glacé sucré comme demandé. Et le serveur qui ne s'excuse même pas, qui contredit en insistant que c'était bien ça la commande, puis reprend le plateau pour disparaitre et nous laisser encore patienter. Comme on pouvait pas attendre toute la journée la suite de ce cirque, on s'est adressé au bar directement. C'est honteux pour un établissement de cette catégorie, je n'ai jamais vu ça dans d'autres hôtels.

Expérience longue et catastrophique au salon de thé. Nous étions en couple et nous avons déjà eu du mal à avoir la carte :attente 25 mn et encore c'est parce qu'on l'a demandé. Pour prendre la commande attente 15 minutes. Puis au bout de 20 minutes le serveur revient nous voir car il ne se souvient plus ce que l'on a commandé !... Il dit qu'il nous passe en priorité : attente 15 minutes pour un café, un thé et deux parts de gâteaux dont l'une était déjà préparée depuis avant notre arrivée... J'espère juste que des mouches ne se soient pas régalées avec ma part avant moi... A quoi cela sert de faire beau avec des cloches en plastique ?...

Nous sommes revenus pour la deuxième fois, 10 ans après. Le service est toujours aussi professionnel. Le cadre est extrêmement calme au milieu de l'agitation du festival. Le jardin et les salons sont frais et lumineux, incroyable en cette période. Le repas au bistrot est très correct, le petit déjeuner parfait, le bar et le room service rien a redire. C'est un 5 étoiles qui vaut ses 5 étoiles, et pas que sur Google. La chambre "premier prix" est spacieuse, tres confortable, tres silencieuse, climatisation parfaite, salle de bain incroyable. Nous adorons la décoration. Ne changez rien svp. Nous reviendrons avant 10 ans.

El hotel es una belleza, la atención de la gente es excepcional y los cuartos super comodos. El mejor lugar para hospedarse en Avignon. Nos falto lugar para comer en su restaurante por no reservar con tiempo por lo cual tendremos que regresar.

Go and enjoy the spirit of Provence here at La Mirande. We were welcomed with fresh fruit and a box of artisan chocolates. The breakfast buffet was my favorite experience here. You are steps from all of the historical sites and the air conditioning during the summer heat wave proved invaluable.

This lovely hotel is located just behind the Palais des Papes in Avignon, making it extremely convenient for walking around the historic center. The stone walls along the path to the palace make you feel as though you're stepping into the Middle Ages—it’s a magical experience.||Breakfast is simple yet special, with homemade jams, dried fruits, and other touches that make each morning feel warm and personal. Every room, as well as the dining area, has a romantic atmosphere that makes your stay truly delightful.||As it's a historic building, the bathrooms and facilities may feel a bit outdated, and you won’t find many modern systems. Still, the hotel makes every effort to accommodate guests comfortably, and we didn’t find these aspects to be a problem during our stay.||Driving up to the hotel can be a bit tricky due to its location in the old town, so I recommend arriving with a driver who knows the local streets well.||Overall, it’s a charming and memorable place to stay, full of character and warmth.

This is not a luxury hotel, it is more akin to a poorly run bed and breakfast.

The air conditioning was not working in the hotel for our entire stay. There was no consistent hot water in the bathroom. The room reeked. The carpeting and linens were stained. We were advised not to use our balcony because opening the door to it would trigger the (broken) AC to turn off.

Breakfast was terrible. Only the bread and eggs were edible. However, dinner was shockingly good considering how terrible everything else is at this hotel.

Service was unacceptable. I saw the front desk staff refuse to allow other guests to hold their bags. The concierge seemed to lack basic knowledge about activities in the region. When I asked to leave the hotel and check into a new one (due to the broken AC and lack of hot water), I was told I would not receive a refund.

Eventually, they gave half off the stay. It should've been refunded entirely.

Perfect location, gorgeous rooms, friendly and lovely service. The garden is Devine and we had a truly wonderful stay. I’ve your planning to visit the region, La Mirande is the only place to stay…

The only thing that could have been improved is better AC. We loved absolutely everything else about this hotel and plan to return.

Overrated is the word I describe the hotel. Room was ok but with faulty A/C. Laundry was not available as advertised until we insisted. Somehow a solution was found, Breakfast ok. The hotel did not met our expectations specially in relation to the daily rate. We decided to move out after two nights spite of the hassle to look for an alternative and move.

Everything about La Mirande is wonderful. The hotel is located literally next door to the Palais des Papes. The rooms are charming and very comfortable and well appointed. The dining areas are beautiful and the service is top class. The staff go above and beyond to make sure you have a comfortable and smooth stay, organizing dinner reservations, a great personal tour of the old city as well as travel to and from the TGV station. I cannot recommend La Mirande highly enough.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel La Mirande. We received amazing, over the top service. When we could not figure out how to drive the to the hotel, we parked outside the city and ubered in. The next day the valet went and retrieved our car for us and parked it at the hotel. We arrived later in the night a little frustrated and hungry and all the restaurants were closed. The front desk reception arranged for a cheese plate to be brought up to the room. Anything we needed they took care of even dinner reservations at Le Restaurant which was absolutely outstanding!! I highly recommend! Also, the hotel couldn’t be in a better location. You can walk to everything.

All exceptional especially the valet -- nothing was too much trouble for him.

Delightful independent hotel..a one-off. Great concierge and everyone very helpful. Characterful rooms with very comfortable beds. Only stayed one night but would have liked longer…. but they were full! Not surprising. Will go again.

We recently stayed at Hôtel La Mirande and were truly impressed by its elegance, charm, and unbeatable location. Nestled right next to the Palais des Papes, the hotel feels like stepping into another century—with period décor, antique touches, and an ambiance that transports you back in time in the best way possible.||||???? What We Loved Most||The location and the historic atmosphere were by far the highlights of our stay. Being able to walk out the door and be within steps of Avignon’s most iconic landmarks was incredible. The hotel itself is stunning, with rich character throughout—from the architecture to the garden courtyard and common rooms filled with antiques.||||????️ Room & Service||Our room was spacious, beautifully furnished, and very comfortable. The bed and pillows were soft, which made for a great night’s sleep after a long day of sightseeing. The overall quality of the room lived up to expectations.||||The staff was warm and welcoming, and everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful. That said, we did run into one hiccup during our stay. We requested a bucket of ice to chill a bottle of champagne and called the front desk twice—but after waiting about an hour, it never arrived. Eventually, we took the bottle to the bar ourselves, and they were kind enough to help us out. It wasn’t a huge issue, but for a hotel of this caliber, we were surprised by the lack of follow-through on that request.||||???? A Small Suggestion||If we could change one thing, it would be the towels. While they looked elegant and matched the refined aesthetic of the hotel, they weren’t very soft. Swapping them out for high-end, plush towels would really elevate the comfort level and align better with the rest of the luxury experience.||||???? A Note on the Neighborhood||The hotel itself felt very secure, and we never felt unsafe. However, we did notice a fairly visible homeless presence in the surrounding area, particularly near the major landmarks. It didn’t negatively impact our trip, but it did slightly change the tone of some of our walks—especially in the evening. Something for future guests to be mindful of.||||Overall:||Despite a few small areas for improvement, we had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend Hôtel La Mirande to anyone visiting Avignon. It’s a unique, atmospheric place that perfectly blends history, location, and comfort. We hope to return one day—and maybe book one of the rooms with those dramatic high ceilings!

One of the most amazing places I have stayed. Everything was excellent - location, the service, the rooms. I could not fault it, and look forward to our next visit.

This place is filled with history. The location can't be better if you want to visit Avignon. It is right next to the palace of the popes. Food is great, atmosphere is blending with the city history.
Service is not on par with big 5 stars hotels, there is no pool etc
But it is still a very unique place and if you are looking into a cultural vacation it is the place to go to!

Je n'avais pas dormi mais j'ai été pour des goûtés, des repas et quelques concerts .

Nous déconseillons fortement.
Après plusieurs visites au salon de thé nous pouvons dire avec certitude que le personnel est désagréable et condescendant avec ses visiteurs, sans raison.
Vous vous sentirez en trop, rien ne sera fait pour faire en sorte que vous vous sentiez bien accueillis, ou presque.
On se demande d’où viennent les 5 étoiles de l’établissement.
C’est regrettable et indigne du slogan de notre belle ville.
En espérant une amélioration.
