Listado como Monumento Histórico, sus orígenes se remontan al siglo XV. Quemado en parte en 1793, fue restaurado después de la Revolución. Todavía tiene su fugitivo - palomar - con la escalera giratoria. En el castillo: 2 suites y 2 habitaciones. La habitación con cuatro postes tiene una cama llamada polaca. Una suite se llama así por Luis XI, recordando su tiempo aquí. Consiste en una habitación con una cama doble en la torre, una cama para niños y acceso a una antecámara. En otra parte del edificio hay 3 habitaciones adicionales. Piscina y área de bienestar con sauna.

We stayed here last month as a stopover for a couple of nights while heading down to Ile de Ré, and it turned out to be just as fantastic an experience as our main destination was. It is a stunning building, completely unspoilt, and exactly as you would hope an old chateau to be if you have never actually stayed in one before. It doesn’t disappoint - opulent and very grand, with immaculate rooms and spotless bathrooms. We stayed in the tower which we loved, the novelty factor alone of sleeping in an old tower with a perfect view of the surrounding countryside was amazing.

Laurent and his wife offered us such a warm welcome and immediately made us feel right at home. Breakfast is a must and an experience in itself, with everybody eating and chatting around a huge table in one of the grandest rooms I’ve ever sat in.

In short, an unforgettable experience that I would recommend to anyone. If you’re looking for an unspoiled little piece of France, I would have thought it’s pretty much unbeatable.

And Laurent - the number plate has pride of place in my garage!

Le lieu est magnifique. La salle du petit déjeuner vaut le détour. L'accueil des propriétaires est très agréable et leurs petites attentions également. La piscine est un plus ainsi que la borne d'arcades que les enfants ont adoré.
