Un bonito color de tierra batida, un tono mostaza, tres matices de azul: The Chess Hotel es ante todo un universo cromático original imaginado por Dorothée Boissier y Patrick Gilles. Todo cambia de una planta a otra para sublimar el elegante estilo francés en un matrimonio que une el clásico y el contemporáneo. Todas las habitaciones están decoradas con muebles excepcionales: suspensiones, sillones e incluso camas con baldaquino en la categoría Deluxe. El hotel también alberga detalles decorativos destacados como el damier que adorna el suelo del vestíbulo y se encuentra miniaturizado en las paredes de los cuartos de baño. En las puertas de estas últimas se descubren las creaciones gráficas de Cyprien Chabert, que también firma el fresco monumental del 2 º piso que corre hasta la azotea del hotel. En el vestíbulo también hay una obra realizada especialmente por Victor Ash, un artista urbano piquer del street art en Europa. Se ha prestado un gran cuidado a las habitaciones: suelo de madera de roble, colchoneta y sobrecolchón para las camas, sábanas de satén de algodón, albornoces y zapatillas de baño. Su diseño depurado no les impide ser de gran confort. Los baños incluyen ducha de efecto lluvia.

Les chambres sont très jolies, le petit déjeuner offre un large choix et peut-être délivré en chambre.
Ascenseur, salle de sport, petite terrasse.
Très bel espace pour se restaurer également avec une carte proposée par un chef extérieur excellent.
L'accueil et la propreté sont parfait.
I like to book a room with a balcony, and this time I stayed in Room 403. On my previous visit, I stayed in Room 404, so this area of the hotel feels familiar and comfortable to me. The rooms are modern, well-designed, and equipped with everything you need. However, the mattress is very soft—not firm—which might be uncomfortable for guests who have back issues.
The reason I’m giving 3 stars this time is due to the serious cleanliness issue in our bathroom. There was a large amount of mold on the walls, which was disappointing and clearly unhygienic. This is something that I believe must be urgently addressed.
I still want to come back in the future, but I sincerely hope the hotel takes the cleanliness issue seriously and improves its housekeeping standards. Overall, many things are well-managed here—but hygiene must be a top priority.
The room isn’t too big but it’s nice, and you will be spending most of the time outside anyway.
