This luxury B&B lives up to its reputation. It was extremely comfortable, very clean and felt like a home from home. Our host made us feel most welcome and cared for all our needs. He also had a good up-to date knowledge of things to do and places to visit. There were five of us and we all had a wonderful stay.

Bonsoir Jean-Etienne,

Summary: unprofessional host, disappointing breakfast, dirty bathroom, loud room, not eco-friendly accommodation, but location is perfect, the room is big and bright and bed is comfortable. I would not stay again, not worth the money.

The host at first tried to be nice, gave us keys and transport cards to load tickets on them, even tho it was strange interaction it was nice. At the last day I asked for a scale to weight our luggage and it was also provided which was nice.

Location is perfect, 10 meters to enter metro station, ~25 mins walk to Louvre and Seine, nice and clean district, seems to be safe too.

Breakfast was disappointing. It looks the same every day, every guest can eat one croissant per breakfast. There is a fruit salad with lots of small flies in it, bread, one type of ham, two types of cheese and yogurt. There is also a butter (small bars from market, not eco-friendly) but it was outdated by about a month - despite that it was served daily.
The table is small, so you have to tell the host every day what time you want to eat breakfast tomorrow. When we were 20 minutes later than we said, the host said some offensive comment. He doesn’t understand people are on holidays here, not waking up to work, so don’t want to be stressed about getting up. Very unpleasant and unprofessional.

The room was loud, definitely not soundproof - everything from kitchen, corridor and outside can be heard easily which is uncomfortable. Hard to rest when you hear noises and think about probably being heard too.

The problem is the bathroom which is tiny, additionally there is no place to put towels after shower, because the radiator is filthy, all in dust, and it was kind of disgusting. There is some black mold in the shower. All this lead to the problem of towels not drying up and being wet after one shower. When we requested towels to be changed daily, the host refused, because he believes he is eco-friendly changing them every second day. Then we requested additional towel and host also refused, giving us the same reason as before, but with additional attack on me suggesting that “we don’t care about environment in our country”. The thing is we care more than you, and is it’s really easy to disprove “eco-friendliness” of this host - you see, when you run a hotel business you’re already generating tons of water usage. Additionally, you’re generating tons of CO2 pollution, because you generate plane trips from all over the world to Paris. What is hypocrisy too is using old taps where you have to open hot and cold water separately. Everyone using this kind of tap is using far more water than it’s needed, because ones needs to set appropriate temperature and pressure mix, and after setting it correctly ones don’t turn it over because of all the hustle one went through just before. These are the things the host should be concerned instead of being afraid of giving us one more towel.
