Los propietarios de este hotel eligieron rendir homenaje a Marcel Proust y su obra literaria. A principios del siglo XX Guillaume Apollinaire frecuentaba este establecimiento llamado el Gran Hotel de Europa. Las habitaciones repartidas en seis plantas con ascensor se clasifican en «Parisino», «Belle Parisino» y «Gran Parisino» en función de su superficie. Después tienen nombres de Venecia, Verdurin, Balbec y otros, todos ellos procedentes de novelas prusianas. En el mamparo acristalado del cuarto de baño, algunas líneas de un manuscrito de Proust y en las mesitas de noche están grabadas con fotos famosas del escritor. Pequeño guiño: en la mesa de la habitación una madeleina… En la escalera se nota un magnífico traje: el mantelet en perla de dorada que llevaba la marquesa de Aligre, descrito en Sodomy Gomorra. En el vestíbulo de cientos de obras de Proust traducidas a todas las lenguas… En resumen, un hotel literario donde la comodidad y el tecnicismo están lejos de ser olvidados.

IF you are looking for space, this isn't the hotel for you, but the general cleanliness of the rooms, and the quality of the service in the hotel was good. The space on the 1st floor is comfortable and unique with the "library theme", extending this vibe to the room where I found a Proust book.... being a Kurt Vonnegut fan - not my kind of vibes to be honest, but hey we are in France so it's very fitting.
When on business I would probably stay here again, but it really depends on the price. Generally I find the quality of hotels in Paris not as good as other metropolitan cities when considering the cost/quality ratio, but am happy with what I got for the price I paid. Much better than most chains in Paris by a significant margin, but I didn't stay in their exquisite rooms - so maybe there is something more special offered there.
