En la actualidad, el museo alberga casi 45.000 obras, objetos y animales naturalizados.

Esta instalación multidisciplinar, situada en un descampado de 12.000m2 en el corazón del rehabilitado barrio de Blin, alberga tres centros: un museo, un centro de interpretación de la arquitectura y el patrimonio, y archivos. Las colecciones del museo, formadas a partir de 1884, representan hoy cerca de 45.000 obras, objetos y animales naturalizados. Es una fuente inagotable de asombro para todos, gracias sobre todo a una sala de talleres donde se organizan actividades periódicas y exposiciones temporales. Una visita obligada.

We visited today and had an awful experience. From the outside the museum looked closed (most of the lights were still off at 1420h). The receptionist was on the phone when we went in, so the two security staff stood there and did nothing (it seems they cannot issue tickets, and you cannot go into a free museum without free tickets?!) We were then directed up the (fire exit) stairs to the 3rd floor, and were able to see the Seine exhibition, whilst one of the security staff stood watching us. We did not see any other part of the museum, and were practically escorted out of the building. Not at all welcoming for those who want to discover and learn about all this museum has to offer.

La Fabrique des Savoirs est un musée gratuit très hétéroclites et passionnant à visiter. Une partie de son espace est consacrée à des expositions qui changent fréquemment, il ne faut donc pas hésiter à y retourner de temps en temps.
