Los restaurantes asiáticos son muy numerosos en Davis. Éste está en el centro de la ciudad, retirado en un encantador espacio con pequeñas casas tailandesas de madera, con patio, terraza, vegetación y flores, sala agradable y bar. Se cruzan muchos estudiantes y se accede a él. El servicio es de gran amabilidad y muy eficaz. El menú del mediodía es perfecto: gran variedad de opciones, de frescura, platos tradicionales tailandeses todos buenos, una presentación cuidada… ¡Qué buenos puntos! Por la noche se organizan eventos regulares. Todos los pantanos son de noche, los miércoles se celebran a veces noches open mic, los jueves y sábados proponen conciertos de grupos locales… En resumen, un toque de corazón, tanto por el ambiente como por el palacio.
The last 3 times we have visited the food has been a horrible. I don't know if it was sold or the chefs need to be replaced but it's not worth going to any longer.
The noodles are overcooked, bland and broken the satay is very overcooked and tough and the fried rice is not even fried or properly mixed. It was mushy, waaayyyy underflavored and the meat was not even marinaded.
I wish it would go back to the way it was but that's not going to happen. I'm afraid it's far too expensive to justify such bad food.
So goodbye Sophia's! There are far too many good restaurants in Davis to visit your establishment again.
If I could have I would have gone back tonight and RETURNED this food and gotten my money back.
