Hotel moderno y acogedor con habitaciones y suites confortables, algunas de ellas con antiguas vigas vistas.
El Hotel de Flandre se encuentra en la casa donde se alojaron brevemente el músico Johann Strauss padre y el escritor Chateaubriand. Tras esta fachada neoclásica, un moderno y acogedor hotel alberga 63 habitaciones y suites. Las habitaciones son amplias, muy confortables y algunas de ellas (las de dos pisos) tienen el encanto de las antiguas vigas vistas. El rico desayuno buffet se sirve en el comedor y en verano en el patio. Todo está aquí para una estancia agradable y relajante.

Bien que nous avions obtenu une chambre accessible pour handicapés celle-ci manquait de charme, spacieuse mais difficile au niveau du réglage du chauffage et des équipements électriques comme la cafetière. Problèmes réglés après demande. Petit déjeuner correct. Un plus le patio surtout pour fumeurs. Personnel agréable

The room was really clean. However we booked for a double bed and the room had 2 single beds next to each other. There was no fridge in the room that would be very handy. The breakfast was fine but we had to book a time slot for it and otherwise we would miss the breakfast (there is a time limit to eat as well, 45 min). Nice experience but not that much of a value for money deal.

Hotel/ petit-dej digne d’un 4 étoiles, le personnel est très accueillant et serviables, seul bémol la chambre, pour avoir frequenté d’autres hotels 4 étoiles, celui-ci ne les valait pas au niveau de la chambre (pas de minibar/frigo), pas de vmc dans la salle de bain donc apres une douche chacun, humidité dans toute la chambre, et la television qui franchement date des années 2005…
Travaillant dans l’hôtellerie en France, je me demande comment les 4 étoiles ont été attribué au vu des chambres…

If you are looking for a nice hotel in the middle of Gent, close to all the attractions but not extremely expensive, look no further than this. The rooms were nicely furbished, the bathroom had a tub and was spacious. The only thing was that there was a fake floor and it was creepy walking and hearing the floor creak.

Negatief:
- kamer heeft echt grondige update nodig: toiletbril kapot, raam kon niet helemaal open, kast is houdbaarheidsdatum voorbij
- receptie was erg rommelig, geeft geen goeie eerste indruk
- zeer warm op de kamer (28,4 graden), airco geeft geen koude lucht --> reactie receptionist: er is enkel koude lucht vanaf mei...begrijpe wie kan... .
- ontbijt is ok, maar niet op niveau 4 sterren
