Hotel boutique con restaurante homónimo, spa, hammam y piscina exterior en Amberes
Este nuevo hotel boutique ocupa un antiguo convento agustino del siglo XVI y sus jardines (de ahí el nombre). Los muros de sillería le confieren un caché admirable. La capilla bajo sus altas bóvedas, ultra luminosa, es ahora un elegante bar de cócteles. El restaurante del mismo nombre ya ha ganado premios Gault & Millau. Las habitaciones, todas diferentes, algunas con techos abuhardillados, se han diseñado pensando en el lujo, con materiales cálidos y naturales. El spa también es de diseño, con su fuente de hielo, sauna, hammam y piscina exterior.

Our time at Hotel August was nothing short of impeccable. Hanne - the general manager, and front of house staff, made us feel incredibly welcome throughout our stay. Every detail, from the service to the beautifully designed room by architect Vincent Van Duysen, exceeded our expectations. The spa and wellness facilities were also amazing, offering a haven of relaxation. Thank you to the entire team at Hotel August for a truly memorable experience. Highly recommended!

Hotel is absoluut niet de moeite, je kan beter krijgen in Antwerpen voor een lagere prijs en betere prijs/kwaliteit. Parking was ook niet goed geregeld. Uiteindelijk ergens op straat moeten parkeren. Dit kan beter. Spaar je geld uit, Antwerpen heeft betere hotels waar je tenminste wel een rechtmatige plaats krijgt in de parking. Ik zou zeggen: investeer zelf in parkeerplaatsen, Hotel August, en laat mensen niet betalen voor een plaats als je er niet genoeg hebt gekocht!

Enkel het restaurant bezocht. Ik werd intens gelukkig van zo’n heerlijke smaken in je bord. Ook uitzonderlijk was dat alle gerechten even top top waren. Lekkerste eten in jaren. Prijs (ongeveer 200 euro voor vier gangen lunch) is hoog, maar het is het zeker waard. Ook een leuke setting.
