Desde 1994, el Walnut Avenue Cafe es una institución en Santa Cruz, especialmente por sus famosos desayunos y brunches de fin de semana. Los lugareños acuden aquí para tomar un café para llevar o para probar las tortitas de nueve cereales. Las diferentes tortillas y los huevos benedictinos también son terriblemente buenos. Una dulce mezcla de sabores entre México y California. El interior es relajante y la terraza es grande y soleada. Una gran dirección en la ciudad para los amantes del brunch. Cuidado con las multitudes en el fin de semana.

"Sausage of the day, is the only way!"- Me to my boyfriend, as I took his sausage
My goodness! As an avid die hard fan of American styled breakfast locations, I had the pleasure of experiencing a sweet moment of Santa Cruz as I visited my boyfriends old stomping grounds. He was very adamant that I tried their house coffee, as he made sure to point out that the coffee blend was locally-owned and specifically made for this location. I of course humored him, before ordering myself a lovely and delicious (surprisingly large) cafe mocha.
Typical style of an American breakfast, which we split a large plate and shared a side of sausage of the day-chicken habenero. Would highly encourage you to give that a go!

The experience is continually getting better the more I go and try different things. The food was hot and tasty, flavorful and was overall excellent.

We loved their food!!! I’m glad we discovered this place. Service was great overall 10/10 experience! You should try it here when you visit Santa Cruz!
