El camping más meridional del Parque de los Everglades, abierto todo el año y equipado con duchas solares e instalaciones sanitarias
El camping Flamingo es el más meridional del parque. Abierto todo el año, tiene capacidad para unas 270 tiendas, pero sólo 41 de las parcelas tienen acceso a la electricidad (con coste adicional). Está equipado con duchas solares e instalaciones sanitarias. En el camping hay un centro de visitantes donde se pueden reservar visitas guiadas con los guardas forestales. También hay una empresa de alquiler de canoas y kayaks y un pequeño supermercado en el puerto deportivo cercano. También puede pescar para comer y cocinar en las barbacoas disponibles.

We had an incredible time during our stay at Flamingo. You can’t beat the beautiful palm trees and sunset views. If you have the chance, take a few minutes to walk on the Coastal Prarie trail located behind the campsites.

*SHOWER : NO hot shower(But can use A-loop bathhouse hot shower)
*FEE : $50 Mon-Thurs, $60 Fri-Sun
*GROUND : Paved&Grass
*SHADE : Partial

A fantastic place, set in the heart of the Everglades. There are no rooms (hence no stars on that) as you bring your own tent, camper or whatever you have to sleep in. The bathrooms are very well kept, and are comfortable beyond what you could expect from a campground. The staff is a pleasure, mostly comprised of nature-lovers that hop from natural park to natural park as the seasons go. You can enjoy so many birds and things just at the campsite. Lots of woodpeckers, and the occasional alligator can pay a visit.
