Modern Japanese style hotel. Well appointed room with balcony. Great location in downtown Palo Alto. The only issue was the staff that was not friendly at checkin and checkout.
Loved this hotel. Amazing location, rooms and service. The gym is small but is really clean and does the job. I had some issues setting up the wifi, but once I asked for help it was sorted. Totally recommend
Excellent rooms but service has become abysmal. Every small thing took 2-3 calls and reminders to the front desk. Cleanings were missed. The manager offered to take off charges for food we never ate. Someone else's charges were on our room which the manager didn't fix either despite promising to fix. Had to deal with them at checkout.
Overall, 2* service and management in a 5* hotel. Will not recommend for business trips.
- Great location close to the Stanford campus
- Beautiful interior
- Button-operated window shades are really cool, if a little slow
- Toilet seat opened up when it sensed your presence, and had a fully featured bidet
- Room itself wasn't too glamorous, but adequate and comfortable.
Had an amazing experience staying for 4 days and nights. The service was excellent and efficient. Good food and service at the restaurant, loved our room and room service. The linen robes and slippers, and overall ambiance was stellar. Can’t wait to visit other locations
A renovated senior living facility, the rooms are small and as often happens with design hotels the rooms are lacking practical items (such as a hand shower). We had stained sheets so something is not right. Food however was good for dinner. They are not really set up however for good service at breakfast. A pity as we love the japanese breakfast bento. Overall therefore it is over priced for the offering.
Although beautiful and nicely appointed, the rooms feel very small next to the incredibly large television. The lights appear to only be in ‘moods’ so there’s no way to have a reading light on next to the bed without several lights on in the ‘evening’ mood. Air conditioner blows into your face on one side of the bed as they don’t have standard ducts in ceilings and the size of rooms mean they‘re really warm for sleeping. The location is fantastic and the employees were very nice.
We were at nobu for a corporate dinner. We ate in the garden and it was lovely. Service was excellent and the food was magnificent. Very expensive but we weren't paying. Will likely down there again.

Great location near Stanford. Some strange things missing in room... no electric plugs at heads of two full size beds... only little usb-a plugs. Two beds but only 1 towel rack in bathroom. No bright light in toilet alcove... not what i expected...
I like this place for special occasions. Yes, it is pricey. But the food is absolutely delicious. And the ambiance is very beautiful and relaxing, especially in the outdoor garden area. We love the crispy tuna, the sea bass, the rock shrimp tempura, and just everything.
