Gifted myself a little treat for my birthday at Kioro. It was worth every penny. The attention to detail and the level of service were amazing. Restaurants on location were amazing and provided a healthy number of vegetarian options.
Also did the Queen for a Day spa package. I came out of there a new person. Definitely wear closed toe shoes though because the uphill walk in sandals and the oil on your feet from the massage will have you slipping everywhere ????.
I drove myself from San Jose to La Fortuna/Arenal and the hotel provided free parking arrangements so that was fantastic. It allowed me to explore more of the neighboring areas at my leisure and without the stress of dealing with tour group activities. Doing them on your own is usually a lot more cost effective too, but that's just me.
This trip literally made me want to move to Arenal.
Great staff, morning buffet is amazing, hot tubs are great so is the pool, and the view is crazy.
It is a bit far from the center of arenal (10 mins drive) but basically you don’t need to leave the hotel :)
Fantastic stay for 2 nights with 4 member family. Room was good size with great view. Nice pool with hot springs (not natural) and amazing breakfast. Even had gluten free bread!
The hotel location was great as it was right in front of the volcano which offered great views of the rainforest. On site hot springs were refreshing with bar to enjoy outdoors. (I Recommend to rent a vehicle) just to get around to other attractions/ restaurants/ and or local sites. We got to see wild life everyday from toucans to monkeys during breakfast. All of the staff were pleasant and accommodating during my fiancé Birthday Day vacation.
We loved this hotel and the location. It was quiet with a beautiful backdrop of Arenal. The staff was amazing with great service and attention to detail. It was clean and the food and drinks were fantastic. We would definitely stay here again!
This hotel was wonderful! From our room, we could see the entire Arenal volcano and a huge forest. It was lovely. Apart from that, it is very well taken care of. The rooms and grounds are very clean. The restaurants are also first rate. I particularly liked the a la cart restaurant! Absolutely delicious! The people are all kind and really go out of their way to make your stay a wonderful one! I highly highly recommend this hotel!
I have been here 3 times now. Every time has been a delight. Rooms are spacious and have a jacuzzi in them! Views of the volcano are unobstructed (save the fog and clouds jaja!). I recommend getting breakfast and dinner included. Breakfast is great and has a little of everything. The staff are friendly and very attentive. Hot springs on site and those at Titokú, are awesome! Titokú is much hotter, so be sure to make the trek there. You can also use their towels and charge drinks to your room! Highly recommended. Whilst not cheap, it is a solid value, especially in the off season.
Right at the base of the volcano is the perfect hotel! It is nestled in the beautiful vegetation of Costa Rica. The suites all have a jacuzzi in the rooms. Rooms are beautifully laid out. Take a flashlight if walking at night. The pool is beautiful. Amazing spa onsite. The is a small fitness center.
