We were looking for a 'few-frills' place to stay out of the wind and with a good store and restaurant. This place was all that! Great restaurant food and drink, great small cabin room, great views and access to the park! Thanks Panamint Springs Resort!

Considering they are the only game in town, they could get away with subpar service and food and still be busy. Thankfully, they don't! Everything was exceptional. The food was so good we ordered seconds to go. The service received from everyone we met was top-notch. The views were spectacular!

10 out of 5 Stars!! Stayed 3/4/2024-3/8/2024. This place was fantastic!! Friendly customer service. Quiet. Restaurant was good. Camp store staff friendly. Gas/Diesel cheaper than at visitor center. Up and out before dawn and back after sunset most days. No light pollution making the night sky spectacular. Panamint Springs is at higher elevation so cooler temps. If camping, highly recommend this place. Campground at visitor center is a parking lot with people right on top of each other. Campground at Stovepipe Wells is ok but be ware of strong winds next to the sand dunes. Strong winds blow the sand everywhere. Out of all the options, I recommend Panamint Springs. Yes it is a little bit of a drive to things but pack a lunch. Stay out all day and enjoy. Come back to a cooler, friendly quiet Campground. Special thanks to Richie and Pete in the camp store. Camped here. This campground was nicer than many of the other campgrounds in Death Valley. It was however a long drive to do day trips to many of the more popular sites within Death Valley. They do have a nice restaurant with good service, gas station, and general store. If someone were to ask me, "would I stay there again?"... Absolutely, yes.

Also, there were gorgeous wildflowers nearby in the Panamint Valley, about 5 minute drive from the campground during my stay.

Good place

Staying here with my family was a pleasant experience. We rented a small tent equipped with two beds, which was perfect for two adults but a bit cramped for more than two adults.

It rained one night, but everything inside remained okay.

Cabin is small and clean. Heater and AC in room. There is no wifi in the room just at the restaurant and store. I would stay here again.

Bless their souls, they think this is glamping. For $73 the "glamping" tents are definitely not worth it. For the same price you can get a motel 6, it's way more luxurious, the showers have taps at a motel 6, instead of whatever bits a price they had lying around to put together a bathroom. For $40 or less I would say it would be worth it. All the staff are super lovely though. The diner there is nice also.

On the outskirts of Death Valley. Restaurant and market made the stay even better.

I do not recommend this place if you like to sleep when your on vacation. Or if you want any amenities at all. There is no air, no refrigeration, just a bed that is very uncomfortable. A bathroom with a shower that will not accommodate a larger person and two small side tables. The walls are paper thin so you can here the conversations of those next to you. The store doesn't have much for food. There is a restaurant but it's expensive. I definitely do not recommend the steak sandwich unless you like meat you can't chew. I had about two bites and couldn't even cut it. They give me $2.50 cents off the bill after admiting to me and I quote " yeah the ribeye is stringey" when I told them I couldn't eat it. I did eat there one other time and got the chicken wings they were good. There is one other place to eat about 40 minutes away. The closest grocery store is an hour away. I booked the room for 5 days but had to leave after the 3rd day because I hadn't slept. Both the room's next-door to me had men that snored all night. I was miserable and exhausted. To top it off the smoke detectior went off and wouldn't stop. Luckily it was just after i got out of the shower and not in the middle of the night. They don't open until 7am and this was about 7:15 so I had to hurry to get dressed and run down to the gas station to let them know. I have no idea how I could have contacted them if it had been earlier. I'm still waiting to hear back if they are willing to give me a refund for the last two nights I paid for. I was told they would contact me later today but they are now closed.

We had no expectations booking the rooms here, but when we arrived, and walked into the room,It was like an episode of criminal minds with some creepy guy watching your every move while you’re in the room. We arrived hungry, tired, and in need of a shower. The restaurant was small, expensive and the food was less than good. I had ribs which were definitely cooked in a crockpot. They had absolutely no flavor, except for they were slathered in barbecue sauce. After paying our bill, nearly $90 for two dinners we went to the room. It was absolutely horrible. The walls were so then you could hear somebody fart in the next room. You could barely take a shower the stall was so tiny, rust and mold on the walls and the showerhead was aimed directly out of the shower stopped by the shower curtain. There is this disgusting carpet on the bathroom floor and it remained wet the entire time we were there, outside the shower. The shower kept leaking as did the sink the entire time we were there, even after telling the staff about the leaks. I would not recommend this place. there were two plugs in the wall, one of which had a lamp and a portable heater plugged in in the other you could may be used to charge your phones, but it was not in a very convenient place. There was one bedside table and a double bed no hangers to hang your clothes you could barely walk by the end of the bed , the room was so tiny there’s no where to even put your toothbrush in the bathroom

Near death valley, we booked one of the tents. Our time in death valley was very wet. We only had rain, unfortunately the stove flap of our tent was leaking. We were upgraded to one of the cabins. 10/10 customer service.

I work for a towing company and go out there often to pickup vehicles and everyone has always been super helpful. No cellphone service for about 30 miles in all directions but the general store has WiFi you can use and so does the restaurant and hotel.
