First time here and definitely Not disappointed. Great service, great pizza, amazing tomato artichoke soup. Good lasagna too. A well deserved 4.6 Rating from me ????????

What a great night! My family and I have eaten here a few times over the last 30 years. This was our best visit yet! Food was great! Service was great! The vibe was great! It ain’t cheap but it absolutely did not disappoint and was worth every penny. A special thank you to Harmony who was our waiter. She was off the hook! It started right as we walked in the door. The hostess was funny and engaging. The manager took our jackets and was funny and happy. Then 90 mins of great food and attentive service from Harmony and her crew of support staff. Everyone was super engaging, nice, friendly and a joy to be with. You made our visit to Big Bear memorable!

As a server, I am a hard critic. We came in yesterday at 3:45. This place is absolutely amazing!! The staff is very welcoming from the moment you walk in. Jordan was our server. Def one of the best servers EVER!! We had a great experience with him. The food was incredible as well. And the place was spotless.

Delicious food and excellent service. Food takes a while but that should be expected when it comes to fresh food of this quality.

I always stop by Peppercorn while I visit Big Bear, their hot chocolate is amazing. Food was great like always and service was nice as well.

Eight of us went on an EMPTY night and they said they couldn’t accommodate a party of that size. I guess Peppercorn wasn’t in the mood to make a few hundred bucks.????????

This place was a hidden gem. The food was top-notch. Service was great, our waiter Joaquin was wonderful, he made our visit even more enjoyable. The clam chowder and bruschetta were delicious. Bouillabase was excellent! Small place, so get there early.

Love this place. Come every year. Food and service are as great as anywhere in Big Bear. They also take reservations which is awesome.

Poor service, we were scolded about the parking, we arrived and there were available tables but they didn't want to serve us, they said we had to wait for an hour and a half.

We were here a couple of years ago, and to be honest, it was not a great experience. We decided to give them another shot and, WOW! This was the most incredible experience ever. Our server, Jordan, made this an amazing experience! We will continue to come back here!

Had a great experience for our 40th anniversary, Johnny the manager was so helpful

We had a very luxurious lunch here after skiing. It was the perfect meal to follow the cold. The food was delicious and the staff friendly and accommodating.

A special Italian-like restaurant at the big bear village. It's amazing to find a decent dining place at the mountain and lake area. The spaghetti and lasagna we ordered is great, even could be described as the traditional as some perfect Italian restaurant. I would say it is recommended for reservation but the parking lot is too small, which is truly lacking in the parking spot. Another thing to mention, we had to wait for a long time for the food as we told the staff we were somehow in a hurry. :(.

Nice place, nice people and nice food!

Outstanding service from the time we walked in to the time we finished our meals. We came with our dog and they were extremely welcoming--they sat us on the patio and turned on all the heat lamps so we would be warm. They also brought our dog a water bowl. The food was excellent--you must start with a bowl of their signature New England clam chowder--it was absolutely delicious. We also ordered the Italian meatball sandwich and French dip--the French dip was the best! Definitely add mushrooms and grilled onions--and also get the peppercorn ranch for your fries! This is one of the best restaurants in Big Bear without a doubt. Highly recommend!

Came here just for desserts and it was great. I had the chocolate cake a la mode and i recommend it this way. The cake was way too decadent by itself. The server messed up and brought it without the ice cream but it wasn't a big deal. We sat outside which was great on a nice sunny day.

Best meal and service we have had in big bear!

Have been coming here on and off for over 10 years as I have a house on the lake and as a restaurant owner myself, hate to have to leave a negative review and have never done until now,

Went to the restaurant on 02/07 with family members after a day of skiing and was starving, as our waiter (short hispanic guy) was getting ready to take orders, I asked him in the exact following words: I'm very hungry do you mind taking my order first", he proceeded to loudly announce to the whole table: I take orders from the ladies first",

My Sister who was sitting next to me told him: "it's fine you can take his order first", he then proceeded to ignore Her and go to the opposite side of the table where my other Sister and her children were sitting and start taking orders, I stayed quiet,

Once food had arrived for all of the 7 people at our table, I had to wait another 5 minutes for mine to arrive after again my Sister had to ask our dear Petty little short man syndrome waiter where my food was, and of course it arrived cold, obviously he was still being petty and was holding mine back, (I'm in the business and I fire people who do this regardless of the situation )

I sat there quietly and consumed my cold steak and rubbery lobster tail and did not show any reaction but did not deserve any of what was done to me,

It doesn't take much to ruin someones day, unfortunately you come across sub-humans like mr. petty chivalry that ruin your day and businesses,

In case mr. chivalry or his employer reads this, I wish he had seen me carry a child and holding my sisters mothers-in-laws hand so she doesn't slip or fall on snow as we were coming into the restaurant, then maybe he would have shut his mouth and stuffed his attitude, also where was the respect for women when he ignored my sister telling him to take my order,

I had to leave school at the age of 14 after my father passed to support my family and work my way up in life from being a dishwasher to owning 2 fine dining restaurants (one featured on the Michelin guide) and other businesses in the service and hospitality industry in the USA and UK,
I hope mr. chivalry waiter reads this and feel even better about himself,

Judging from that last 2 reviews something is wrong at this place,
