Emplacement magnifique, un havre de paix et de tranquillité, pour le repos, le ressourcement c'est une parenthèse de calme dans un monde fou. L'eau est merveilleusement chaude et sans vagues, pour la plongée c'est magnifique. Il n'y a pas de bateau ni de jetski qui passent devant, la plage est superbe et avec un masque, la vie aquatique est dense. Le restaurant est bon, les plats diversifiés. Attention aux moustiques, ils sont féroces, surtout le soir.
Le personnel est très avenant et discret, les chambres sont propres et spacieuses. Pas de climatisation, mais une ventilation au plafond.

Great people, the cook Carlos was a sweetheart, but there were more. However, it is poorly organised to get there, I was scammed by local boats, the only way to get to the hostel. It sometimes felt like a prison, we left early. Recommendation: book one night and see if it is something for you. Contact them on beforehand on how to get there, they will gladly help you.

These guys are totally not guest-friendly. They ignore you when you ask for something. Ordered dinner, which was ready after 3 hours; without any apologize or something like that. Next, they play constantly music very loud; only for theirselfs. They definitely need a course in hospitality....

Waited 2,5 hour for food, made the wrong food. And laughed at us, they don’t care at all

Lugar precioso, buena comida y experiencia general muy buena. Carlos, Duvan, Rosa y Riqui han sido un servicio estupendo, muy atento. La comida rica también. Muy recomendable.

1/10 - The location is perfect with a little private beach and gorgeous surroundings. However the hostel itself needs some improvement. It's very isolated, there is no access to shops to buy food and if there was there is no place to store your food making you reliant on the hostel to provide. The food is expensive and not very good, half the things on the menu aren't available which limits you even further. At one point I gave up on ordering dinner and just ordered a brownie which was handed to me in a packet, clearly bought from a supermarket and with a huge mark up of 8k. I was also quizzed by the staff when I didn't finish my plate which was quite uncomfortable as I had a skirt round the fact that the food was inedible so as not to upset the chef.

It would greatly improve things if there was a option to store your own food.

The bedroom is complete with mosquito net which is nice but there is no air conditioning and the fan is extremely loud, and mostly ineffective, making it impossible to sleep. There are no locks on the rooms or bathrooms and the door to my shower swung open meaning I had to hold it whenever I wanted to shower. Luckily I was the only person in the hostel but if it had been busy I would have been worried for my things and my privacy.

I had booked a week here but left after the second night because it was so restrictive, uncomfortable and I was unable to sleep. It was non-refundable (I think this might happen a lot so they see an opportunity to make more money by making it non-refundable). It was worth losing the money just to leave.

I would not recommended this place, it is not as advertised. I suggest you book 1 night maximum and see how you get on, don't make my mistake, you will lose a lot of money.

Un lugar muy tranquilo, limpio, la atención execelente. Duván súper atento y servicial, nos hizo sentir muy bien. Carlos el chef cocina delicioso. Y el resto del personal muy servicial y amable. Muy recomendable el lugar. Gracias!

La atención es muy cordial y personalizada de todo el personal, en el Bar Duvan fue sumamente atento y servicial al igual que el Chef Carlos con sus sugerencias ,recomendaciones y deliciosas comida. SUMAMENTE RECOMENDABLE...!!

Estábamos alojadas en el hostel de cartagena y nos ofrecieron cambiar una noche por su hostel en Barú. Pasamos una noche allí genial.

Las vistas son espectaculares, las habitaciones perfectas,el personal muy agradable y el cocinero Carlos prepara una comida deliciosa.

Ojalá poder volver pronto

Me gustó mucho el lugar, muy tranquilo y limpio. La comida de Don Carlos (el chef del lugar) maravillosa. Todas las personas que trabajan ahí muy atentas, en especial Deiner y Juan que siempre estuvieron muy preocupados de hacer nuestra estadía de Luna de miel maravillosa

-Ten alle tijden super lekker eten van chef Carlo, die ook goed kan zingen ;) en qua gezonde lekker sapjes van locale fruit soorten is Juan je man.

(Deze plek was aan mij aanbevolen door een vriendin die hier in 2019 was geweest. Blij om te zien dat het door alle ellende van afgelopen jaren nog bestaat. Al varende met de boot rond de eiland veel verlaten plekken gezien.)

Pasamos 2 dias espectaculares con mi pareja. Un lugar muy relajado y en el mar. Sumado la amabilidad de Juan que siempre al pendiente de lo que necesitemos y muy predispuesto a darnos consejos de cómo movernos en la ciudad. Carlos,el cocinero, muy amable también!

When you want to unplug from the world, come to Media Luna. This magical place is peaceful, you are away from the party crowds. Carlos the cook will make you wonderful meals and Juan the bartender and manager will make sure you are taken care of. We collaborated together and made up a drink that was out of this world. All of the staff had smiles and the dogs will greet you too! I am so happy I booked three days, one is not enough and those who did regretted that. Stay a few and return home relaxed!

Pros: Juan fue excelente anfitrión, siempre disponible y con buena energía. Carlos cocinó muy rico.
Cons: Las habitaciones privadas en el segundo piso, no tienen acceso fácil al baño, lo que complica el acceso sobre todo en las noches. Adicional la cama doble eran dos simples lo que hace que no fueran muy comodas.

Me he quedado con mi familia dos días y nos encantó, sobretodo la atención de Carlos y Juan ellos estuvieron todo el tiempo atentos a nuestros requerimientos. La comida deliciosa la playa súper tranquila y la atención del bar. Las habitaciones super limpias. Mucha tranquilidad

Experiencia hermosa, el lugar es encantador... el paraíso!!! La atención de Juan y Carlos fue excelente. 1000% recomendable.

Un lugar realmente increíble, a la orilla del mar. Además la atención es super buena, Juan en la barra y coordinando todo, mientras Carlos prepara comidas extraordinarias. Recomendado para descansar un par de días
