STORE RINGHEIM HOTELL & RESTAURANT

Very nice food and a beautiful location.

Nydelig middag med fantastiske grønnsaker.

We stayed at Store Ringheim for 2 nights in May 2021. It is located in the hills outside of Voss with a great view of Vangsvatnet. It is an old farm and it reminded me of farm stays that we have had in Italy. Check in was fast but we did not get information about breakfast, wifi etc. We got the room Lemmen – I guess a suite of some sort as the room was quite big. It is an old farm, so the rooms are all different and have lots of history. The wooden floor was painted in grey while the wooden walls were unpainted. There was a comfortable double bed, a sofa and chair, a small TV that we didn’t really try and a table with chairs. There was even a small fireplace and I guess it is lovely to light this in the wintertime. The bathroom was modern with black tiles on the floor and white tiles on the walls – and there were great bathroom amenities from L'Occitane. Wifi was included and worked just fine.

There was a restaurant in the main building – the menu featured a couple of starters and a couple of mains. I had pre-ordered a smalehove (head of sheep) which is traditional for the area. Thank you for providing this for me Svein – I appreciated that! Breakfast was served in the same place in the morning, but it was also possible to enjoy this in the greenhouse outside with views to Voss.

There were several tables, chairs, and benches around the farm to sit down and enjoy the view! Location of the hotel is great if you have a car – it only takes 5 minutes to downtown Voss. It is about 2 km so walking takes 25-30 minutes.

This place was awesome. It is a place with lots of history and charm. The room was comfortable, the bathroom was modern and functional, and we were able to enjoy dinner there the night when we arrived. I hope that many will get to experience the tranquility of a farm stay on a hill outside Voss!

Prachtige locatie, mooie romantische kamer op zolder (2e verdieping zonder lift). Goede bedden! Heerlijk avondeten en lekker ontbijt, met spullen uit omgeving en eigen tuin !!

Vi spiste middag der en kveld. Nydelig sted, hyggelige ansatte, og maten var kortreist/lokal, smakte nydelig .
