Cómo llegar y contactar
El señor Luigi Garguilo, capitán del barco fracasado en el puerto de Marina Piccola, decidió quedarse en el faro construido por sus abuelos. Capitán, lo es realmente de profesión y pescador a sus horas. El personaje carismático está muy orgulloso de estar en la cabeza de este hotel excavado para una parte en la roca. Los pasillos de Il Faro tienen algunos puntos de casa troglodita. La ventaja de este hotel es estar justo enfrente del puerto. Para aquellos que, entre dos barcos, están justo en tránsito en Sorrento, es la mejor dirección. La ciudad justo encima está a 5 minutos a pie como en autobús. A pie el camino toma el cañón de Sorrento, antiguo cama del río de la ciudad que se ha convertido en subterráneo, y sube directamente a la piazza Tasso. El lugar está bien cuidado y el solárium entre rocas y mar es muy agradable. Las acuarelas de la región que tocan las habitaciones están en tonos suaves del sur.

It’s a long walk UP to the city Center but doable, I don’t mind walking at all. There’s shuttles that also bring you up for just over 1 euro which is always nice.
We are a group of 3 couples in our early 30s travelling together. We really hated the washrooms. The showers were incredibly small, to even get into the shower the space is quite limited, so if you are a bigger person expect to squeeze in and ur body will be touching the walls. The walls have specs of what I assume is either rust or likely mold all throughout the washroom. I was very nervous just being in the washroom. The hair dryer in our room looks like one of the old vacuum hoses from a drive in car wash, very little power, but better than nothing (I’ll add the photo). There is a better hair dryer on the 4th floor patio washroom that gets hot with more power behind it. The patio is nice, we didn’t use the pool it’s not the vibe up there lol.
Staff is whatever, they weren’t rude at all but they are not overly concerned with customer service or smiling and being welcoming, was certainly the vibe throughout a lot of places in sorrento, so it really wasn’t a bother to us. There was one nice gentlemen we saw in the hallway who was very pleasant having a conversation with us.
Breakfast was not anything special, doable but not good. Mostly pastries and a little eggs.
