The first apartment we got which was Studio Lucio was spacious with a balcony and a lovely view. It was centrally located in Manarola and only partway up the giant hill. However, it had a bit of a mold problem including in the heater/AC unit. Hopefully they address that. The location was good and it had a microwave which was the only one we’ve seen in 4 weeks. However, my husband has asthma and was too high risk for the mold so we asked to switch apartments. They did so without question.
The second apartment we got was called Albarola. It was in a great location at the top of town so away from much of the hubbub also with a great view. It had 2 floors and a private garden terrace. It also had a mostly full kitchen except the gas stove wasn’t working so there was a hot plate. The bed was quite comfortable. The only thing to know about this place is that it is right below the bell tower which rings every 30 mins from 7am to 9:30pm.
