For me, one of the best accommodations of our three-week South Africa trip with our family of 7. We stayed in the beautiful Luxury House with 4 bedrooms. Friendly staff and really delicious food, dinner was exceptional.
But, my daughter and her boyfriend were a little less enthusiastic: their room was really (too) small for a double bed, with a small bathroom and no air conditioning. And that makes a clear difference in comfort compared to our spacious room with airco. But we all agreed about the food: extremely tasty! All credits to the friendly chef, who took the allergies of a family member into account. (but maybe tackle that small room?)
Fantastic stay!
The hotel is a perfect gateway to explore the Kruger Park and enjoy various activities. The location is superb, and the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Our room was comfortable, and the amenities were top-notch. Highly recommend for an unforgettable vacation in South Africa!
Great hosts. Attentive and warm. Kitchen is fabulous. I would suggest sitting on the patio in the summer and near the fireplace in the winter. An old school traditional fine restaurant.
Visited restaurant and it is definitely one of the best places in the region.....lovely 'country estate' type atmosphere....friendly and very well trained staff...and excellent cuisine
We had the most amazing experience today at Oliver's!
What an amazing team with friendly and helpful staff. They made the bridal shower so special, making sure we were happy at all times - even willing to take pictures to capture the moment.
The food was impeccable and very well presented. Michelin stars to the chef!
The view was incredible for taking pictures to be remembered forever!
Thank you Tania and your team for making this a memorable day, never to be forgotten!
We were there on our honeymoon for 2 nights and had a fantastic stay. They gave us an amazing suite that made us feel special. The food is also great. We loved the breakfast too. Cozy Austrian/SA vibes.
A éviter
Thank God we only stayed for one night, as I think I would have not handled the lack of service, kindness, and hospitality in this hotel for a longer time.
The waitresses were so unfriendly, and unpolite (unfortunately a stronger word does not exist in English)
Not even asking if we were done with our dishes when taking the plates off the table. Screaming at us, telling us the room is closed when they need to take the luggage in the room while the key is at the reception.
Sincerely it is super disappointing for a place that shared Austrian/African cultures, as we know service in Austria is definitely not as bad as this.
However, we have nothing to say about the two receptionists that welcomed us! They were kind. The only positive point.
Terrible service…. Like the worst possible, we went for breakfast 30 min early as confirmed the evening before because leaving early and the waitress looks at you aggressively instead of helping.
Avoid unless you look for a vibe from one century ago or if you are a golf player.
Decent to chill for one night between two safari camps because of the food, which is great but service makes everything bad.
Our most favourite Lodge near the Kruger National Park with awesome Management, Staff combined with Great Chef providing top hospitality with most comfortable rooms. Our Home away from Home !
