Finca que ha pasado de ser una granja a una actividad de turismo ecológico, con habitaciones que tienen unas vistas impresionantes.
Jorge, ornitólogo, convirtió su finca en 2005 para desarrollar una actividad de ecoturismo. Los miembros de la comunidad de Dota han creado un plan de preservación del quetzal. El dinero de las excursiones se reinvierte en el mantenimiento de la zona. En el programa: senderismo en las 80 ha de la reserva, observación de aves, amanecer en el Cerro de la Muerte... Las amplias habitaciones ofrecen unas vistas impresionantes y están amuebladas con materiales naturales. En la sala del restaurante se puede acceder a una plataforma para observar a los colibríes.

We joined the Quetzal Tour starting at 5:30 AM. To participate in this tour at this time, we needed to rent a car and stay overnight at the Paraiso Quetzal Lodge.
For the first hour, we patiently waited, but the Quetzal didn't appear. However, we had plenty to do, such as admiring the mini avocados tree, which is the main food of the Quetzal, playing with the guide's dog, seeing many fly catchers, and we never got bored. Afterwards, we moved to a different location and walked a few minutes along a trail. Finally, we encountered the Quetzal!! I'm in awe of the guide's knowledge and their ability to quickly spot the Quetzal. The Quetzal that emerged in the midst of the great nature was truly beautiful, and its beauty was so mesmerizing that it made us lose track of time. On the way back, we visited a person who owned precious Quetzal feathers and they showed them to us. It was truly the best tour of my life.
The lodge where we stayed was equipped with sufficient facilities for cold weather and was very comfortable. During dinner, we were able to enjoy Casado, a traditional Costa Rican dish. The seasoning of the trout was extremely delicious. The hummingbirds we could see in front of the dining hall were breathtakingly beautiful. It is definitely a five-star place with no complaints.
