The most lovely place. Located on a hill in the outskirts of the small town of Dorgali, surrounded by woods and with an amazing view on the valley. The owner is super nice and an endless source of interesting information about the area. The rooms are quite basic but large, well lit, and spotless. The restaurant offers a selection of delicious home-style local specialties and pizza. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Die Bewertung bezieht sich nur auf das Restaurant, welches sehr schön auf einem Berggipfel gelegen ist. Die beschwerliche Auffahrt wird definitiv mit einer spektakulären Aussicht belohnt! Als wir ankamen wurden die Tische noch eingedeckt, wir wurden aber trotzdem freundlich empfangen und durften uns einen Tisch aussuchen. Als Wein hatte ich den spritzigen dorgalesischen Rosé, meine Begleitung trank Wasser. Die Vorspeisenplatte mit einer Auswahl von Wurst und grünen Oliven war schmackhaft, die verschiedenen Pasta-Gerichte waren gut zubereitet, obwohl die Tomatensauce zum Ravioli den Geschmack der Käsefüllung zu sehr übertüncht hat. Das Spanferkel (obwohl nur mit Vorbestellung möglich haben wir es ordern können) war unglaublich gut.

Ein Gericht (Steak und fittierte Kartoffelscheiben) wurde leider komplett vergessen und kam entsprechend spät bei uns an. Der gemischte frittierte Fischteller den wir ursprünglich auch bestellt hatten, wurde ebenfalls vergessen, was sich aber als vorteilhaft erwies weil wir schnell satt waren. Das andere vergessene Gericht war in Ordnung, obwohl das Steak wirklich für Gäste mit Bärenhunger ausgelegt zu sein scheint, da es riesig ist! Die frittierten Kartoffeln dazu waren leider etwas dünn gehobelt und fettig.

Nach dem Hauptgang kam der Kellner leider gar nicht mehr an unseren Tisch, das Weinglas blieb lange leer. Schade!

Das Lokal ist gepflegt (auch die Sanitäranlagen, sogar ein Wickelplatz ist vorhanden), das Personal war sehr freundlich. Der ältere Kellner sprach sogar etwas Deutsch. Für 5 Sterne hat aber leider was gefehlt, besonders die Aufmerksamkeit die uns zum Anfang des Besuchs zuteil wurde hätte aufrecht erhalten werden können. Es ist ein gut besuchter Ort mit gutem Essen, das wir anderswo aber durchaus schon besser gegessen haben.

Holidaying in Sardinia from the U.K. in mid June 2023, we stayed at this beautifully located 3 star hotel, near the town of Dorgali.

The hotel is located approximately 10 minutes’ drive from Dorgali town centre..

There is parking within the hotel compound.

We were warmly welcomed by Mariano, who checked us in.

Our room was spacious, comfortable, clean, with air conditioning - as was the bathroom.

Breakfast was lovely, a good variety.

This is a lovely hotel - in a tranquil location up a hill, overlooking the magnificent mountains.

We had lunch and dinner in the restaurant, sitting both inside and the outside terrace..

From the outside terrace, the views of the mountains and Dorgali town are breathtaking, particularly at sunset.

For lunch we had a variety of dishes - fish, meat and pasta.

For dinner, we had pizza and pasta dishes.

On both occasions we were warmly attended to by Francesco, who was helpful, friendly and professional.

I recommend a stay at this hotel.

We came through on a walking tour in early September. Delicious food and wonderful staff. We would love to come back again some day. Thank you.

Ottima cucina, specialità barbaricine cinnun tocco di innovazione. Buona materia prima. Provati soprattutto i piatti Di terra ,tutti ottimi. Servizio gentile e personale preparato. Bellissimo terrazza con vista sul monte Bardia e su una splendida valle. Consigliato.

The porchedu and the house canonau wine were great!

Ho solo mangiato nel ristorante,ben eseguiti i colurgiones,ma conditi con troppo sugo che sovrastava il sapore del ripieno,mi hanno deluso i ravioli poco condimento all'interno.Antipasti buoni,a parte il porcetto sfilacciato ,noi in sardegna lo lavoriamo così quando ci avanza,per un sardo è un offesa presentarlo come antipasto.Nell insieme do una sufficienza scarsa,perché non ho il desiderio di tornare a mangiare da voi non mi ha stupito la vostra cucina,pietanze semplici che possiamo preparare a casa senza farica.Molto buona la seadas.Ho sempre il presentimento che negli agriturismi turistici non si dia il meglio ai turisti,e questo penalizza la sardegna e i nostri prodotti,il mio consiglio se vi fate pagare date sempre il meglio a tutti!!

Un pranzo ottimo a fine Agosto con un plauso particolare alla fregola di mare! Bellissima la vista dalla terrazza esterna e sala interna accogliente e familiare. Il personale gentilissimo e professionale!

Hemos estado este verano una noche porque lo teníamos de paso y había leído buenas recomendaciones. El hotel es caro para los servicios que ofrece. La cama no es cómoda aunque tiene un sofá que si lo es. El desayuno malo aunque el café está bien. Cenamos en el restaurante que de día tiene unas vistas preciosas porque está en la montaña pero de noche es una terraza como otra cualquiera porque no está iluminado. Nos pareció caro para las cantidades que ponen. Ejemplo: fritura de pescado que traía 4 gambas y 4 boquerones contados, y una cestita pequeña de calamares (18€) y la ensalada de tomate y mozarela (12€). No recomiendo ni el restaurante ni el hotel.

Pranzato con la mia famiglia a fine agosto; Vista spettacolare, piatti buoni e abbondanti; servizio cortese e rapido. Nulla di negativo e mangiato la migliore Saedas in Sardegna negli ultimi 4 anni.

Solo per arrivare devi percorrere una strada sterrata, in salita, buia. Poi la location sarebbe anche carina, tranne che a noi hanno riservato un tavolo sul passaggio della cucina...e questo già mi è piaciuto pochissimo. Inoltre...tavolate immense di persone che mangiano la pizza, con bambini urlanti per ogni dove. Non è il posto per me, anche se devo dire onestamente che gli antipasti erano molto buoni...però mi era scappata la voglia di cenare. Non credo che ci tornerò

L'hotel ristorante Sant'Elene é una struttura incantevole a conduzione familiare in cui io e la mia ragazza Silvia abbiamo soggiornato per una piacevolissima settimana di vacanza ad Agosto. È stata un'esperienza meravigliosa. L'hotel si trova in un posto tranquillo a Dorgali nelle immedite vicinanze di cala gonone (e delle sue spledide spiagge), immerso nella natura. Le camere sono confortevoli e hanno tutto ciò di cui si necessita (aria condizionata, letto comodo, armadi spaziosi) e sono fornite di una bellissimo giardinetto privato da cui poter ammirare di notte una splendida stellata.
Francesco ed il suo staff ci hanno coccalto e fatto sentire a casa fin dal primo giorno. Ottima colazione con prodotti fatti in casa e delle cene memorabili e abbondanti per assaporare i sapori tipici sardi. Inoltre una menzione speciale al nostro barista Christian che ogni mattina ci ha dato il buongiorno facendoci cominciare al meglio la giornata.

Grazie a tutti di cuore torneremo sicuramente.

We are travelling on a budget and come across this restaurant. The waiters were really nice and welcoming but we were charged a service fee of 10 euro for two of us to eat there. We were really disappointed after leaving as the food was good but the fact they took advantage of tourists by charging them such a high fee is disappointing. After speaking to other restaurant owners and locals this fee is unheard-of. We should have addressed the situation as it unfolded but didn't. Just be aware if you are eating there and check the bill before paying.

Super gentili e attenti al cliente, con mezza famiglia di celiaci, sono riusciti a soddisfare alla grande anche loro, dagli antipasti, al dolce! Per chi non ha problemi con il glutine, consigliatissima la fregula sia di terra sia di mare.

Fomos ao restaurante jantar, que lugar fantástico! A mais bela vista da região, equipe muito atenciosa e simpática, comida deliciosa e preço justo.
Não deixem de ter essa experiência!

Ristorante molto carino e servizio soddisfacente. Noi siamo venuti a mangiare del pesce, e devo dire che forse non è il posto giusto per mangiarlo: le porzioni erano abbondanti ma secondo me il pesce era congelato, comunque rapporto qualità/prezzo assolutamente giusto. (€60 in due)

We hebben hier alleen geluncht. Geen hotelfaciliteiten gebruikt. Tijdens de lunch serveren ze geen pizza's, mocht je hier trek hebben dan jan je alleen tijdens het diner terecht. Dan eet je lekker buiten en heb je ook nog een prachtig uitzicht. Het eten is trouwens prima. Neem wat cash geld mee als je fooi wil geven, want die kunnen ze niet bij de rekening optellen als je pint.

Wir waren zum Abendessen dort: das Essen schmeckte gut, vor allem die Käseplatte zur Vorspeise war sehr lecker!

Ansonsten leider vergleichsweise kleine Portionen und unserer Meinung nach preislich etwas übertrieben (Käseplatte, Nudeln, Lachs mit zwei Beilagen und Wasser für 65€).
