After just staying at a 5-star hotel in Vienna, I expected better quality rooms than what were provided at the NH Carlo. I was so excited for this stay but I was very disappointed upom seeing the rooms. As others have mentioned, it is beautiful from the outside but the room pictures posted online are quite misleading. The standard room was extremely small - leaving barely any walking space when you have two occupants + suitcases. Additionally, the lack of window length left you feeling like you were staying in an attic or prison cell equivalent room - neither of which is what I had hoped for when I paid as much as I did. I definitely don’t plan to stay here again the next time I visit Prague. This hotel isn’t worth the inflated cost. I gave 3 stars because the staff is incredibly kind and accommodating.

Hôtel très beau et confortable. La nourriture était digne d’un cinq étoiles. Le spa est incroyable. La piscine est grande et il faut réserver à l’avance cela permet de ne pas avoir une grande affluence au spa. La chambre est grande et le lit très très grand. Dans la chambre il y a une machine à café et du thé. La baignoire est XXL on peut y baigner à deux. Le service est impeccable. Deux télés avec lesquelles on peut partager son écran. Je reviendrai volontiers. L’hôtel est à 5 min de la gare. Et est au centre ville.

This is NOT a 5 star. The architecture looks great, everything else about the hotel was underwhelming. The rooms weren’t well maintained and very dusty. The size of the rooms and configuration also added to the feeling the hotel was inappropriately classified. I wish I spent my time better as there are many great options in the area and the prices are much higher at the property than other true 5 stars in the area. I basically didn't get to sleep for an added three hours because of the room condition and sub par service.

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always eager to assist. Despite encountering an unpleasant surprise - a used condom in the trash upon arrival, the staff promptly addressed the issue and cleaned the room. We appreciated that our two dogs were warmly welcomed at the hotel. However, while the common areas of the hotel are stunning and lavish, the room we stayed in was small and ordinary. The shower had low water pressure, and despite the room being warm, the air conditioning failed to adequately cool the space. On a positive note, the breakfast provided was exceptional. Overall, considering the price charged by this hotel, we expected a more pleasant and slightly larger room.

By far one of the best NH hotels I have frequented.
We took a girls trip from the 16.02-18.02.2024 and my friends were impressed. I work for the brand so I felt proud to know that we did not disappoint when it came to customer satisfaction and experience.

Man hat nur eine Gelegenheit einen ersten Eindruck zu machen, weswegen der Check-in ein ganz wichtiger Moment ist.
Dieser lief bei uns alles andere als rund.
Erst bat uns die Mitarbeiterin am Schalter Geduld zu haben, da sie was wichtiges zu erledigen habe. Also haben wir uns hingesetzt und gewartet. Irgendwann winkte sie uns herbei.
Die Mitarbeiterin legte dann mir wiederholt ein Check-in Papier vor, welches für einen anderen Gast gedacht war. Nachdem sie mir endlich glaubte eine andere Person zu sein, war unsere bestätigte Reservierung unauffindbar.
Also wieder hinsetzen und warten. Irgendwann klappte es. Zurück blieb die Wahrnehmung nicht willkommen zu sein. Zum Glück beschränkte sich das Gefühl lediglich auf eine Person.
Das Zimmer an sich ist gut, geräumig und sauber.
Das Hotel ist wunderschön und mondän. Die Lage ist hervorragend, da nur 10 Minuten zu Fuß bis zur Karlsbrücke.
Die Frühstück sucht seines Gleichen. Es ist reichhaltig und qualitativ hochwertig.
Um an den Pool und in den Spabereich zu dürfen, mussten wir einen Zeitraum definieren. Sehr ungewöhnlich und unangenehm sich zur Entspannung an einen genau gesetzten Zeitraum zu halten.
Fazit: Tolles Gebäude, seltsame Gewohnheiten für den Besuch des Pools und holprige Check-in Prozesse.

Termin für business gehabt, mit Lunch. Sehr gute Bedienung, gutes Essen und die gesammten Entourage vom Hotel ist super!

This is an upper-class hotel, so my criticism has to be seen in relation to the high standard it wants to achieve.

We asked for a quiet room, before arrival. Although we received a bigger room than the standard room, it was next to the waste bins, which were regually emptied. This happened early in the morning. In addition, there was a constant slamming of doors, which persisted during late hours (after 10 pm). I assume, since some offices were next to our room, that our room was in a service area of the hotel. To be fair, the service desk provided us with an alternative, which we declined, since we arrived with a child and the rooms were too small for three. So, it is partly our fault. However, I feel that a room that was created by lowering the ceiling, thereby only having half a window should not be a regular sleeping room for guests.

The spa area is spacious and well maintained. It is run by very strict but efficient ladies, who give clear instructions on what is allowed and what should be avoided. The fitness area could use some improvement. It is a bit crowded and some of the machines do not seem to be well maintained.

The breakfast is extraordinary and you get more than you can ask for.

What was bothering me the most: The hotel hardly has any natural light inside. The breakfast room, the restaurant, the lobby, the spa: there are no windows. I was really happy getting outside to see some natural light.

During checkout I was asked whether I found everything to be alright. I wanted to address my issues but all I got was: "Aha!" That was it. Either I was not understood, or the person was not trained to be triggered by my complaints.

We would love to come back, since the location and especially the guys helping you with the luggage were really nice. But for a hotel of this class there is definitely room for improvement!

I had a fantastic time. The location is perfect, every type of transportation was available from a really close distance. The rooms were clean and nice. The restaurant was extremly pleasant, the staff was really helpful and kind and the weekend live music was perfect. The spa services were fantastic, overall I had a very relaxing weekend.

However, the reception was neutral to me, which would have been a fine addition if they were just as friendly as the restaurant staff.
I was fined with a preauthorization deposit, and almost again when checking out, indicating that the system cannot record correctly these transactions.

All together I can only reccomend it to everyone.

Great place to stay for visiting Prague. The location is close to the train station and it is only a short 10min walk into the old town. The staff is very kind, the building itself and the breakfast are superb. The rooms in the old building are rather small and could be given to a refurbish in the next years. All in all a great and 5* place to stay in

Great location and services

Old school charming hotel. Fabulous room, standout sheets, amazing basement pool, fantastic breakfast. My first time in Prague made perfect.

Ein wunderschönes Hotel das ganze Ambiente die hohen Decken und Säulen sind schon beeindruckend. Das erste Zimmer das wir bezogen haben war nichts! Es war klein und dunkel das Fenster war in ca 1.60m Höhe und man kam nicht dran es zu öffnen. Unsere Beschwerde wurde aber angenommen und wir konnten ein anderes Zimmer beziehen. Das entsprach unseren Ansprüchen. Das Frühstück war echt klasse und ließ fast keine wünsche offen. Der Poolbereich war sehr schön und man konnte klasse schwimmen und entspannen. Das Hotel ist wirklich zu empfehlen.

Hotel is in an old heritage building, former investment bank from late 19th century. All their staff is very polite, ready to assist and makes you feel welcomed.
Tried their restaurant for first evening this was kind of convenient choice and food was very good , we had use the lobby area for dinning.
Spa area is very clean as well as saunas., again staff is very diligent and trying to offer best options.
Rooms are nice and quite big but some amenities like bed frame and wardrobe looks worn out. Bathroom is very clean with all items functional, still they are missing small but important items: shower cap, cotton buds.
A big plus is complimentary espresso machine, tea kettle and mineral water.
Breakfast buffet is rich and on top of that they have brunch a la carte menu.
One thing I really dislike their aroma perfume in lobby area is a nose smell killer.

This a great hotel to stay in when visiting Prague with easy Access to the metro and in easy walking distance to the places of interest to visit.
The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and we really felt welcomed.
The food and service in the restaurant is excellent. We would definitely stay here again.

Bodde på hotellet i forbindelse med en helgetur med kona. Opplevelsen var svært god. Vi ble møtt av svært serviceinnstilte og hyggelige ansatte.

Hotellet er flott visuelt, estetikken er behagelig og beroligende. Resepsjonen gir "White Lotus"-vibber. Rommene er fine og rene.

Spaavdelingen med basseng, steamrom og badstue var enkelt og bruke, og tilfestilte våre behov. Bassenget holdt 28 grader, og var 20m langt. Dempet og behagelig belsyning. Badstuen holdt 90 grader.

Treningsrommet var litt lite og fullt av apparater. Det er det eneste negative jeg kan komme på.

Beliggenheten er prima.

Not what you expect from a 5-star hotel!
The location is great and the exterior of the hotel is beautiful but i cannot say the same about the interior, especially the rooms.
The staff were great especially Ni and the duty manager they managed to make us happy.

Špičkový hotel. Špičková obsluha, špičková poloha. Možná jenom trošičku hlasitejsi klimatizace s absenci displeje, ale to se dá. Trochu menší pokoje a nic moc výhled. Ale všechno vyvažuji špičkové snídaně a absolutně božský bazén. Prostě super.

Très bon hôtel, piscine sauna hammam ouvert jusqu'à 22 heures, buffet du petit déjeuner très copieux et varié, un service digne d'un 5 étoiles, des chambres confortables.
Très bien situé à 5 minutes de la maison de la municipalité, pour les jeunes un restaurant d'hamburger très bon et pas cher juste à coté le meat &greet Senovážné náměstí 2
Attention au taux de change en payant, il vaut mieux payer en couronne qu'en euro!

Hôtel au décor raffiné. Il est situation à deux pas du centre ville historique. Le personnel est très sympathique et disponible. Excellent petit dejeuner. Le plus : accès gratuit à la piscine et au SPA.
