The balloon safari was unreal. Our pilot was ace, and it was an unforgettable moment on what is a trip of a lifetime. Worth every penny for a unique view of the Serengeti. Ignore anyone leaving a bad review, if you don’t love this you have no joy in your life. I can’t wait to come back!!

We had an absolutely unforgettable experience flying over the Serengeti at sunrise on valentines day. Our pilot made us feel safe and informed at all times. The entire experience, including the breakfast afterwards, was incredible and I recommend using Serengeti Balloon Safaris!

Nul total , le ballon est resté au raz du sol quasiment tout le temps... franchement ça coute 600E par personne pour être à 1,50 du sol ... la pire expérience que j'ai fait de ma vie ... TROP DE L'ARNAQUE A TOURISTES

We had a magnificent balloon ride over the Serengeti in January 2024. The company was terrific in every detail. Our balloon pilot, Johnny, was wonderful. He was exactly the right blend of personable and professional, informative and funny. He told us exactly what to expect and delivered— great take off and landing, great spotting in the air. The champagne breakfast under an acacia tree in the plain, with wildebeests off in the distance, enhanced the experience. This was wonderful— I highly recommend it.

A very professional setup that involves many moving parts all coordinated very smoothly. Pickup from your hotel and then drive out to the ballon site in the dark. The final part of the roads can be rough. Then a safety briefing and you are off ! Once airborne the pilots will vary the altitude depending on the wind and wildlife sightings. We saw all kinds of wildlife from the air - hippos, giraffes, marsh owls, and on one flight even a Caracal ! After the landing the jeeps meet you there for a champagne ceremony. The bush breakfast is excellent quality and then transfer back to your accommodation offers a chance to spot wildlife.

An Unforgettable Adventure Above Serengeti!

The staff from Serengeti balloon safari is exceptional!
From the moment they picked us up to offering tea/coffee when we arrived at the launch site, to the balloon ride with Paul, and finally the amazing breakfast in the middle of the national park.

While we missed the migration but I cant imagine how amazing that experience would've been from above.
The serenity and peacefulness of the flight over the endless Serengeti plains, made this adventure a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

The next day our safari car was stuck in the mud from all the rain and after 4 hours and no other car was able to help us, Innocent from Serengeti Balloon Safaris came to the rescue!!

Highly recommend!

What a wonderful experience in Serengeti!
Balloon Safari was a more Incredible experience than I could have imagined. Our guide Adam, who we met early at 4am, goes out of his way to make sure we have the best experience on the way to the balloon site. I remember three lions and hippo walking on the dark road he showed us. Thanks for taking the beautiful photos of the acacia. Also the champagne and breakfast were amazing. I'm grateful to all the staff for being so kind and caring. I would be back that moment in my heart!!

As someone who is afraid of heights, I was hesitant to get in a hot air balloon. However, this experience was a one-of-a-kind, out of this world adventure. All of the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. The ride was incredibly smooth and I felt completely secure with all the safety measures they take.
I would give them 10 out of five stars, if possible. No regrets and would highly recommend.

We had a beautiful ride and Captain Conrad was a fantastic pilot! The views and animal sightings were
Incredible!
Riziki our driver and overall support of the balloons was professional and courteous and knowledgeable!
He picked us and drove us 3 hours in the dark to the takeoff spot. Along the way he spoofed a pride of lions for us to see!

One of the most magical experiences and worth every penny! The hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti was one of the highlights of our trip. Our pilot Kevin was knowledgeable and professional and pointed out animals to us in the air and smoothly landed the balloon. A champagne breakfast in the bush topped off the beginning of a great day! I would highly recommend adding a hot air balloon ride to your Serengeti safari experience, you won’t regret it!

Amazing experience - absolutely surreal. And pictures just don’t do it justice! Everything from start to finish was like a well oiled machine - from pickup in the morning to the tea before the balloon ride all the way to breakfast and drop off at the end. Barry was also a great pilot and entertaining the whole way!

This was an absolutely unreal experience that felt straight out of a postcard or brochure. Sometimes you wonder if pictures you see online or in advertising material are cherry picked from perfect conditions, but in this case, the experience really lives up to the hype. The serene experience and breathtaking views are above and beyond everything you could imagine. We spent a little over an hour in the air, with some of it at lower heights to see the animals better and some of it at high heights.

After we landed, they had a champagne toast (in custom bottles!) and then we drove to meet the groups from the other balloons for breakfast. (Menu options in one of the photos.)

One thing to be aware of is that the balloon takes off and lands on its side, so everyone has to crawl in and out. To land, it skips on the ground a few times before coming to a stop and tipping over for exit. Our pilot was very experienced so it was pretty smooth, but it just wasn't something we were aware of ahead of time.

One of the most amazing experiences. Im floating above the animals, looking at the horizon in every direction, and come to the realisation that there are areas of ground below us that may have never seen a human. It was wonderful and humbling.

I grumbled because I had to get up so early for this event, but soon I was wide awake and enjoying the serene beauty of the Serengeti. I floated over elephants, giraffes and lions as the newly risen sun glistened on the wet grasses. The pilot, the self-described "handsome" Barry, struck just the right balance between humor, education and allowing the group to enjoy the quiet magic of the ride. Afterwards, there was sparkling wine and an English breakfast in the wild. This was never on my bucket list, but I would do it again and again!

We had an amazing experience on our balloon safari in Western (Grumeti) Serengeti on June 4, 2023. Captain Mohamed Masudi was a great pilot and guide...very knowledgeable! We celebrated after the ride with a delicious breakfast in the bush.

We had such a wonderful experience! From an early morning pick up from our hotel, to breakfast, and then being driven back to our group - everything was taken care of! The ride itself was really smooth and all the safety information was shared clearly. We enjoyed riding with our pilot Zumo and hearing about how he become a pilot in the Serengeti. This was our first hot air balloon ride and I think we were definitely spoiled with the company and the location! I hope to do it again one day. Thank you!!

An unforgettable experience! We did a sunrise hot air balloon from the Seronera area and our pilot, Johnathan, was excellent! He easily made sure we all knew what to do - pointed out animals and game to us and provided binoculars - and enjoyed an outdoor breakfast in the bush with us after our experience.

I've never used a basket like we did - where it is laid flat and you have to climb into it - but it was fun and easy to use and we felt safe the entire time.

After we completed our experience - we were able to purchase a few items as keepsakes, given a certificate, and even emailed photos a few days later.

Unforgettable. Highly recommend this unique experience if you are able to participate in one of these safari balloon experiences while in the Serengeti.
