We had a wonderful time staying here! The breakfast was great! I highly recommend Rainbow End!

This is an amazing stay for the price! We loved being right on the beach, waking every morning to the sound of the ocean. The Hideaway Cafe where you get free breakfast every morning is definitely a huge plus! The office staff did absolutely everything they could to make our stay enjoyable, from free kayak rentals, to extra towels, to answering questions about the area. Definitely somewhere to come back to!
Only cons we had: beds were extremely hard (like any budget hotel), and because of the age of the place windows stuck and vents dropped a bit.

My parents took my siblings and I here as kids for Christmas. It remains my fondest travel childhood memories. Hope I can return one day.

Great resort for the price! I'll start with the good. Location location location. Just outside of Marathon, on the ocean and a short driving distance to everything. The private beach is fantastic. You likely won't need to go to any other surrounding beaches during your stay. The pool and hot tub were also great. The rooms were of good size and the beds were comfy. The real hidden gem is the hideaway cafe that overlooks the ocean on the second level of the office building. You get a free breakfast there and it is no continental hotel breakfast. Made fresh specialty items like lemon ricotta pancakes, French toast, made to order eggs and more are just some of the items available. The only downsides are that the rooms are somewhat dated and the AC wall units are wonky. It is also easy to drag sand and leaves in as your door is directly exposed to the elements when you open it. They also did not have our room ready and it was clearly rushed and not prepped to their presumed usual quality. Nonetheless, a legit resort for a motel price. Don't pass it up if you're in Marathon!

The rooms are old outside but remodels very well except the office. I was not expecting a good stay based on the old office. Luckily they invested in rooms.
The property is in good shape.
Only gripe I had is that the blankets are about the worst I've ever felt but we had our own. Walls are very thin between units but it wasn't bad in the bedroom.

This place is what the keys are all about. Stayed in room suite 14. Less than 75 feet from the water. The website does it no justice. Way more than a 2 star resort.
We will be back next year. Thank you to the wonderful staff.

Beautiful property in the quiet part of Marathon. Has a lovely little beach with calm waters. Breakfast was great. We could kayak on the water and also get bikes to do on the trail.

1st time in the Keys and staying here. Nice location just north side of Marathon.
Pros: We had a kitchenette which we really didn't use except to make ice cream and keep some snacks cold. The room was spacious and very comfortable and clean. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. We set beside the pool but didn't get in it or the hot tub. The beach area was nice and kept clean. Pool side towels are provided. The breakfast that was provided is a limited menu but it's a selection of hot full breakfast that's prepared to order.
The front desk checked on us every evening to see if we had any needs before closing for the day. Very nice.
Cons: Really not any but just a couple things to mention. In the evening the parking becomes full because of patrons going to Hideaway (which is delicious highly recommended but need reservations). The WiFi is a little weak at least in our room.
Highly recommend this resort. Would not hesitate in booking again.

Went to the Hideaway for dinner, didn't stay at the hotel. Amazing atmosphere, the staff was well attentive to our table. Great service!

We have stayed here almost every year in the past. Called yesterday spoke with Janette, was quoted $266 per night for 4 nights total - $1066.93. I called back this am to be quoted $1979.49. I was actually speaking with the manager Eva who confirmed $266 per night, when a asked about our old room #7 she said it was slightly more at $287 per night. I said let's book it, she came back at $1979.49, I said hold on, that $494.75 per night, her response was "well that's what the website states" I said no it dosent it shows the $266 & I was simply calling to confirm directly. She said go make yr reservations on line then. Just a few min ago I called to speak with Janette asking about yesterdays rate she quoted of the $266, she said yes we have it, it's $1066.93, I said are you absolutly positive she confirmed, so I requested to book it, she came up with a price of $1666.93. When I said somethings really off here she replied with "nope nothings off I told you 5 times that price, I exclaimed you don't need to be rude, that's uncalled for, she again replied rude, your the one who needs to be told now 6 times because you don't hear correctly. So in short this place was bought just a few years back. Clearly the new owners are out to screw people as much as possible, then be as rude as they can. 1000% unprofessional nasty people, when I said enjoy the reviews Janette said "ohh I will f!certainly, learn to open your ears and maybe you won't be so deaf. I truly hope the next hurricane down there finally dose a number to this place & wipes it off the map. Do not stay here total crooks

This place is fantastic!!! only drawback is they need some closet or dressers in rooms. Staff is great. I was forced to cut my trip short at last minute and was credited for that. HONEST good people..could not have been nicer and it has a GREAT restarant!!

Das Zimmer das wir hatten lag direkt am "Strand" mit freiem Blick auf das Wasser.
Die Ausstattung war vollkommen in Ordnung.
Der Wasserdruck in der Dusche war ein bisschen niedrig.

Auf das im Preis inbegriffene Frühstück kann man sehr gut verzichten.
Das war das schlechteste das wir jemals hatten.
Frühstück macht man sich besser selber auf dem Zimmer. Es ist alles dafür da.
Das Geschirr muss man allerdings selbst abwaschen. Einen Geschirrspüler gibt es nicht.

3.5-4 stars. We had a 2 bedroom suite that was nice. The only TV in the suite was in a bedroom so it was tough to watch TV in the evening with the family. Private beach are was very nice. We went in December and pretty much had the beach to ourselves. Breakfast is nice. It's cooked to order so a nice hot meal to start the day. Location is nice & quiet. Front desk staff is not friendly and we were not told that repairs were being done to the property and specifically our suite while we were in the room. They offered no apology & there was a man on a ladder outside our windows doing work.

We booked a 2 bedroom suite expecting some level of privacy, but one of the bedrooms doesn't have walls that go to the ceiling, so you can hear every sound from the kitchen/living room as if it's in the same room. Also, no blackout curtains on the windows.
