Campamento sólo para tiendas de campaña con ducha, barbacoa, aparcamiento, inodoro y agua potable
Campamento con sólo 25 parcelas (para un máximo de 6 personas). Es el más barato de todo el parque, y uno de los más codiciados. El campamento 4, históricamente famoso por ser especialmente popular desde principios del siglo XX, está muy bien situado: justo en el corazón del valle, cerca de los acantilados de granito y las cataratas de Yosemite. En el lugar: ducha, barbacoa, mesas de picnic, aseos, agua potable y sombra. De finales de mayo a septiembre, las reservas se abren con una semana de antelación y se limitan a 14 noches. El resto del año, por orden de llegada

Bear lockers are available and I could see if you could close with a lock. It has the mechanism against bears ofc, but not against humans. Definitely an honor system so be good Samaritans!
Bathrooms were super clean so very nice. And very easy to stay and access a good number of hikes.
Even though the sign said it was full, there was some vacancy left. It is hard to look for, but basically the rule is one camping party per bear box. Parking is sometimes a nightmare.
- There’s no privacy from others, it’s all pretty much just one big site.
- it feels like you’re backcountry camping because there are no electrical outlets on sites (bring a portable charger) AND the bathrooms only had cold water.
- there is a place to wash dishes and shower, but they are the most unkept facilities I’ve ever seen. In the shower stall I used, the shower head was on the ground only replaced by a tied on ziploc bag. The air vent was caked in mold.
Sorry Yosemite Valley, this campground ain’t it. The only upsides are the views and location.
