Weekend prices are exorbitant. There was almost never a front desk staff at the desk. The view was great but the room was small and the water pipes sounded like gunfire. Won’t stay here again.
Stunning view!!! This hotel was beautiful, I can't say enough! The gentleman at the front desk was very polite and kind. There is some construction around but it wasn't really noticeable at all. Parking was covered as well so that was a nice treat!
I've stayed at the Hotel Sausalito both pre - and post pandemic. The hotel is in a great location and the parking is super easy.
The rooms are quite old and without any modern conveniences, but the process reflects that, and it's usually the least expensive place in Sausalito. If you just want a good clean and comfortable room in a great location, this is a good choice.
Wonderful location in Sausalito! Close to everything. We stayed 1 night before we left Northern California. Very nice people at reception. The room was clean. The sink dripped all night and the drapes were a little difficult to open. I wish there had been a mini fridge. The closet was a wardrobe cabinet so I’m glad we weren’t staying longer. Good short stay hotel!
Located smack in the middle of downtown Sausalito. Convenient access to shops, restaurants and the water.
Rooms are small, but clean and well kept up. Think European mom and pop hotel.
Access is weird. They are supposed to call you the morning of your stay to set an appointment to check in. After noon I finally called. They told me to call the number on the door and I'd be met. I did. A guy showed up and didn't greet us. I thought he was a hotel guest. Nope. He was there to check me in. Acted like I was bothering him.
Once checked in access was fine. Parking lot that the hotel will sell you a day pass to park in.
Room was, as I said, small, but nice. HOWEVER, I reserved a room with 2 queen beds. The beds were twin, not queen. Way too small for my liking.
The hotel was not full, but for some reason the unpleasant check in agent gave us a room facing the main street. Very noisy. Especially on trash pick up day.
There was a nice little outdoor nook on the second floor with three tables. Great for a quiet wine and cheese getaway from the busyness. Needs some attention though as many of the plants were dead and the decorations need updating.
Loved this quaint old hotel and it's the perfect location for restaurants and many activities. Great attentive daily service, too! Desk registration is by appointment and if you show up a bit early or late it's hard to get hold of the desk person as the Sausalito city phone reception is terrible in that area - there were two parties waiting to register but neither of us could reach the phone number to call for entry.
Amazing location in Sausalito, unbeatable. Great staff. Steps away from the ocean bay and breathtaking scenery. Steps away to ferry. Walking distance to eateries, shops, fun. Only gets 4 stars because there is a long project construction in the first floor which seems will last all summer 2023. Love the rustic, classy, historic look and feel of the hotel and rooms.
The picture here was from our window in room #211. The location of this hotel is perfect. Our room overlooked a park, the bay and the ferry terminal. Rooms are small but worth it for the location. The service and personal touch of the staff were great. Five minute walk to coffee, shopping and all major restaurants.
I am afraid the hotel did not meet my expectations. It is very outdated, one of the cords to a lamp was frayed and didn't work, and there was no one at the reception desk to check in. After a few phone calls, a man appeared and showed us a room that had a large thrumming noise. After moving to a room farther away, we had a lot of noise from the parking lot area and 7AM-8AM noise from street cleaners and a few garbage trucks who backed up with beepers and left their trucks running for a long time. There is also construction happening on the 1st floor for a restaurant? Anyway, poor communication and not a hotel I would return to.
Great location and view of the water.
Rooms have everything you need but a bit small. You can walk everywhere from here.
This is a small hotel. 12 or so rooms. There is not someone at the desk 24/7. Owner called us the day we were to check is to ask what time we arrive so he would be there. Very nice!
Construction below didn’t bother us at all. WiFi is pretty weak.
Cute little boutique hotel. There are not a lot of options if you want to stay in the main downtown area of Sausalito. I tend to like modern hotels, but that didn't seem to be an option, and this place was clean and comfortable with nice shower products. And you really cannot be the location. Overall very satisfied with our stay.
