A beautiful restaurant that pairs great food with amazing views of the Bay. Reservations are always recommended, especially during weekends.

The views from the restaurant were absolutely amazing! The food was good, not great, and the service was not good. Our server was not attentive and in a bad mood. So overall a beautiful place that can be amazing with a few improvements.

The scallops were cooked to perfection and the atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. Beautiful view.

We came here for my husband's birthday. The view from our table was amazing! We had a good look at the Bay and San Francisco. The food we ordered was all tasty. The cup of clam chowder was delicious with nice chunks of crab in it. The Bay scallop dish had four good size scallops and had lots of flavor. The only negative we had during our time there was the waiter. He was constantly missing. After our drink orders were placed he didn't come back for 15 minutes to bring our cocktails and take our order. Once we had our meal he was gone again and this didn't show up for a time while my mother in law needed more water. My table wasn't the only one who had issues with this particular waiter.

On paye la vue car les plats sont excessivement cher et n’ont aucune saveur.

Had the fish and chips, delicious!
Only two tiny pieces of fish and a thousand fries.
Ate at the bar at lunch on April 6th, service was just ok and when we said something about the tiny quantity of fish, they could have cared less.
Atmosphere here was gorgeous!!

When even the locals are regulars, you know that it's not just a tourist trap. You absolutely cannot beat the view from the white linen tableclothed seats at Spinnaker. The bread served w/ your meal there is bonafied San Francisco sourdough. There are lots of fresh seafood choices, too. I live about 10 minutes away and often meet up w/ friends to either indulge in a ciopinno feast or just to sit in the bar area and soak up that view. Even the valets are cool ( shout out to Erik). We l8ve Spinnaker.

I went there for Easter. The food was horrible. I was looking for my favorite dish but was not available. I will try some other restaurants nearby in the future.

Wanted to take wife here for anniversary as I had traveled here 15+ years ago. The food was good. Not as good as 15 years ago but to be fair I got grilled halibut back then and this time I got salmon. My salmon was really slightly over-done and lacked any spices as I like mine with a slight bit of heat. It was good read not bad. We enjoyed our dinner and being on the water. The view could have been better but at no fault of The Soinnaker. The weather was rainy and cloudy therefore SanFrancisco was not quite visible. Please go there as you will love it especially on a clear night.

While the food is above average and the location is lovely, there’s just little things that feels off. There are containers and staff folding napkins in the main dining hall beside table with guests. While the food is generally good, small things make the dining experience feel like a casual diner than a restaurant. For example the bread seems like an afterthought. They are hard and cold and the butter that came with it has fork marks on them. The crab cakes came on a pice of lettuce which makes it look like something you’ll get from a buffet. Overall just an experience that feels weird.

Terrific products and good cooking, the views are wonderful (come during daylight). One of the best clam chowders we have ever eaten, terrific prawns and mussels, great sole (scallops were just okay), great execution overall. Desserts are not at the same level, but still okay. Great place for romantic dinners as well as for groups. Prices were decent for the experience. The only caveat is the service, we came 4 times, and it's rarely great, mistakes during the order or long wait (30 min to order and 50 min for the first drinks last time ????).

The Spinnaker is a Sausalito institution, a place to check off a bucket list of dining places...not for the food, per se, but for the perfect setting on the Bay with an unobstructed view toward the San Francisco skyline. Unfortunately, it is also a missed opportunity...an underutilized ambiance that doesn't take advantage of itself as a Mid-Century architectural gem. The interior design lacks character, covering up with questionable drab paint and exotic carpet its potential for having greater sense of place. But the view! That's why a visit is worthwhile. Don't look up or down but out over the water.

To be clear, the food we had was fine for lunch. I cannot speak for their dinner options. The clam chowder was particularly delicious without pastiness found in a lot of other places. The rest of our lunch was good just not memorable. Parking is a little confusing unless you are using the valet.

Food was really good! Great place on the water with sailboats floating by. What a view! The server was great, but should NOT take smoke breaks in the middle of lunch service (really off-putting right before you eat). That said, overall service was great. We had the scallops, burger, and TBLT. All very tasty!

Delicious place to enjoy dinner with a view in Sausalito! We made reservations in advance and enjoyed a drink from the bar while we waited for our table. Oysters and seafood pasta were tasty. Service was great. I'd recommend The Spinnaker while visiting Sausalito.

The only thing that this place has going for it is the view. We ordered the calamari and it wasn't cleaned and tasted horrible. Bread was stale. Water was even gross. We told them to cancel our order because we just couldn't bear anything else that bad. Don't recommend. Very overrated.
