Très bonne expérience. Nous avons beaucoup appris sur le chocolat avec une visite multilangue dont le français. Chocolat de bonne qualité. Personnel très accueillant et enthousiaste. A faire.

It's a nice little store with many types of chocolate. Create a chocolate experience. This store calls itself the chocolate museum on the outside. The museum had a fee. We didn't go in. The chocolate was good. They make it there so you can watch if you time it right.

A must visit, we hadn’t planned for it and we happened to come accros it when walking past it and we visited the place. A good place to learn history of chocolate and Mayan culture in Mexico and they end it with chocolate tasting and chocolate demonstration. Very good souvenirs to take from this place for yourself and friends

Total scam. It's all for show. They do not make the chocolate here. They do not roast the chocolate here just like Disneyland. It's all for show. You pay 10 times the price for the same chocolate. You can get in the grocery store locally.

This was rather boring, tbh. You can see from other's pics that it's mostly just static displays with audio explanations. The demonstration for making chocolate & getting a sample at the end was the best part. Kids will likely be bored with this museum, I know my own 13yo was bored with it until the end demonstration & tasting. However, I was disappointed that even there they didn't have a real cacao pod to see & touch since they really are quite unique.

I wouldn't necessarily recommend the museum, but I bet the chocolate making classes they offer would be worthwhile. I'd come back to try out one of those.

You get a discount if you visit here & the Frida Kahlo museum (you do have to mention it & show them your ticket from the other museum). I'd suggest going here first since you get a better discount at the Frida Kahlo museum.

The museum was very interesting and easy to understand. But the demonstration as the best part! Ariel made it fun and he was very knowledgeable about the entire process and it included delicious chocolate tasting. Absolutely worth it, especially considering the affordable price

A very nice exhibition, made with a lot of Details and love. The chocolatier educates you about the process if making chocolate, and the specialty of each step. You can smell and partially taste yourself through each step and it's product. The chocolate they sell is a delight for every chocolate lover, no matter if you like dark, milk or white chocolate

Tourist trap. Place definitely has a nice atmosphere but the chocolate itself is mediocre and overpriced.

Small museum but very nice. You see the history of chocolate in Mexico and get a demonstration of how chocolate is made from cacao fruit. There are tastings of chocolate during the demo and small tastings at the store.
Kids are half the price and you get 30% off if you combine with the Frida Khalo museum.

Buen lugar para conocer un poco sobre la importancia del cacao en la cultura maya, también para conocer sobre el proceso actual, para adquirir diferentes tipos de chocolates que hay muy buenos, además de la opción de hacer algo diferente en Playa del Carmen

Had fun seeing the exhibits, got some chocolate samples at the end, and bought more chocolate for everyone to share. Good experience!

Très bon accueil du personnel avec un chocolat délicieux. Nous avons acheté deux tasses et goûté au chocolat froid qui était délicieux. Nous avions déjà fait le musée au choco Story de Valladolid qui était top.

Loved it. Went more than once on the same trip. It's the type of experience you'll take back with you and remember everytime you bite into a piece of chocolate ???? Porfirio, the manager, is a great host!

Cool musuem with a thorough history of chocolate. We were able to go through at our own pace. They had audio buttons in each room and written information. Also the museum was really pretty with plants around and pretty displays. Glad we decided to stop by!
