Auténtica dirección que ofrece especialidades de la comarca de Niza y platos mediterráneos

Este auténtico bistro con su decoración retro es el escenario ideal para disfrutar de una sencilla y generosa cocina familiar donde se destacan los sabores de la tierra: ensalada de garbanzos con comino y bresaola, estofado de cordero, filetes de sardina marinados con limón, jengibre e hinojo oriental, tártaro de ternera y sus condimentos, paupiettes de ternera, pescado del día, salteado de ternera casero, polenta con aceitunas Nice... El menú es corto, cambia cada tres meses, ¡una garantía de frescura de los productos! También nos gusta el ambiente familiar y amistoso que surge del lugar. Para descubrir en la pequeña terraza improvisada en el corazón de la vieja Niza o en la habitación con su decoración vintage.

This place was recommended to us so we decided to try it. When we first arrived we were told that there was no tables available except for one in the back corner by the bathroom door which had little stools to sit on for children. We sat and they brought a big board with very limited menu choices written on it in chalk, no real menu. We chose 2 meals and both were horrible. The portions were small, the food quality is poor, and the prices are crazy. The kitchen is in the back and is open so the man cooking is visible. As we ate we noticed more and more that he was touching everything, touching raw meat, wiping sweat, and not washing his hands at all. We ordered the quail dish and the beef tagliata and found both incredibly poor. While the meat for the tagliata was of reasonable quality, it was almost raw. I do not mean rare, or seared, I mean like tartar raw. I like beef tartar also but if I wanted it, I would order it. The quail was the exact opposite. Meat was dry and it was super overdone. I saw other reviews in the past that mentioned raw poultry so maybe they're overcorrecting. I ordered one small draft beer and it was 9 euro. All in all we spent 50 euro (no real receipt, just written on a scrap of paper) and left hungry, dissappointed, and confused. I do now understand how this place enjoys such a high rating for the quality. I don't know if it's just a tourist trap or what but the positive reviews must be coming from foreigners that leave good reviews after eating something they don't like because they think "maybe that's how they do it here".

The most cozy and quirky little restaurant. The food was just downright amazing. Great timing on everything. Fantastic wine. The place feels so pragmatic and laid back, but the food and service is just 100% on point!
