Cocina francesa en un elegante bistro cerca de Promenade des Anglais
A pocos pasos del famoso Promenade des Anglais, la Rina es una buena mesa cuya decoración evoca la atmósfera de un auténtico bistro chic y un loft neoyorquino: aquí, los suelos de parquet de madera y los ladrillos se mezclan armoniosamente, a veces de color rojo oscuro y a veces blanco, mesas redondas o cuadradas cubiertas de blanco, y grandes espejos. A la cabeza de esta buena dirección se encuentra el chef Kamal Al Rineh, oriundo de Niza y fundador de los exitosos restaurantes L'Ybane y La Carafe en Nueva York. La sabrosa carta ofrece algunos de los platos más destacados de la gastronomía francesa: mejillones y patatas fritas, ensaladas, pastas, pizzas.... todo ello acompañado de una excelente carta de vinos. También apreciamos especialmente el equipo de camareros, atentos y atentos, buenos consejos y siempre amables, que hacen de cada degustación un momento de alegría y de compartir. We were sat in an outside table and when we asked to be seated inside due to being sat in a smoking section an older waiter rudely told my wife that you can smoke everywhere in France. His opinion was later evidenced by the ash tray sitting at the counter inside the restaurant. In retrospect i would tell this waiter that it is illegal to smoke both inside his owners restaurant and in the undercover outdoor area in France.
We ordered Paella which was very basic without chorizo, saffron or garnish. It was also overpowered by the amount of tumeric added. Not enjoyable.
I was sure they had not given me the wine I ordered (it was a very dark pinot noir) and my wife was charged 13 euro for her two glasses of prosseco (listed as 10 euro on the menu).
My two daughters ordered pizza and we saw the pizza boxes being delivered from somewhere else, coming in the front door.
The older waiter after we had asked to pack my younger daughters pizza flung the plate at the younger waiter launching a piece of pizza off the plate onto the ground.
At the end of the meal we were asked for a tip, which is the first in France.
Not a pleasant lunch.
Finalement je prends le steak (plus simple), steak sans goût et dur à manger.
À l'addition, on me compte la bavette (22,50€) plutôt qu'un steak (21,50€)
