Where to begin? These hotels are not worth the price or the hassle. Stayed at another inwood down the road along with this one and we could not stay there any longer. Had to leave. This one was worse in many ways. 4stars are overly generous. You have to be scanned to get to your floor each time you want to enter your room. Construction is everywhere and smells like eggs. It’s horrible and wish I knew before booking.
Update: witnessing the cleaning lady coughing and all throughout the rooms didn’t help alleviate our concerns about this place. Hard to get over the rotten egg smell on 3rd floor.
Entrance is cover by scaffolding all the way up. As you enter, you’ll notice how empty and casual the lobby is, also the heavily stained carpets.
And how can you ignore the poker face staff?
But that’s just the beginning…
In order to go up to your floor, the staff has to card in the elevator. A lot of times there is no one in the front desk so you have to look for them so you can go up.
As you exit the elevator you’ll notice the run down, tight hallway. It’s literally falling apart.
The room itself is tiny, but it doesn’t end here…
The bathroom might be remodeled but smells like sewage. The single star above goes to the nice heated toilet.
Let’s, talk bed. Sheets were not clean like you would hope for. I found hair, lashes and some other particles as you can see in the pictures. The decorative pillow was torned apart. And if you don’t want to have nightmares don’t even look inside the pillow cases. The grime and sweat stains will haunt you.
Did I mention how uncomfortable the bed was? But why go there?
The mini refrigerator had 3 complimentary drinks but the amount of mold and dirt in there was alarming!
Right now, out view is just scaffolding and tarp. They gave us a heads up via email but no compensation for the massive inconvenience.
This is our second Inwood hotel and whoops our bad for making the mistake of booking this.
To give you an idea our first Inwood hotel was booked for two nights and as soon as we entered, we immediately started to look for an air bnb near by and just walked away.
I’d say think long and hard before you book this motel.
