Amazing option! I stayed here with my partner during peak season (mid august). The hotel owner is the guy who runs it basically, he arranged for us to be picked up from the port with no extra charge, showed us to our room and the rest of the hotel, gave us loads of recommendations around the hotel area and also gave us a lot of options for car and bike rentals which was very very helpful.
The room was spacious and clean, we had a little terrace outside that was lovely. The hotel has limited space so it was very quite throughout our stay (1 week) which is what we aimed for. There is a local bakery, 5 minutes away from the hotel that has wonderful things, although I think the hotel offers the option of having breakfast too.
There was actually a kitchenette in the room with all the equipment to cook should you wish.
I would recommend for any sort of holidays, family or couples. I hope we’ll be able to go back and see everyone again, they were so lovely!!!

Sehr nettes Personal, der Ort ist ein wenig abgelegen, aber gerade das ist sehr schön. Zum Strand läuft man ca. 3-5 Minuten. Familien sind willkommen.

Wir haben in diesem kleinen aber feinen Hotel 2 sehr schöne Urlaubswochen verbracht.

Nikolas und Mary kümmern sich sehr rührend um alle Gäste und sorgen dafür, dass es an nichts fehlt.

Es gibt ein reichhaltiges Frühstück, das jeden Morgen frisch zubereitet wird.

Der Poolbereich ist mit einer kleinen Bar ausgestattet, an der man von Nikolas leckere Getränke bekommt.
Die Liegen (bzw Auflagen) sind ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen, aber man hat ja ein Handtuch auf das man sich legen kann.

Die Anlage ist gepflegt und die Zimmer schlicht, aber schön ausgestattet. Man hat eine kleine Küchenzeile wo man mal eine Kleinigkeit zubereiten kann und einen Kühlschrank.
Unser Zimmer hatte einen kleinen Balkon mit einem tollen Blick auf den Hügel von Plaka. Außerdem hat es eine Klimaanlage.

Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt, nicht nur durch die liebevolle Versorgung und Betreuung von Nikolas und Mary.

Das Valena Mare ist perfekt gelegen, in 5 Minuten läuft man zum Strand und in 15 Minuten kommt man mit Auto nach Naxos Chora.

Wir können das Valena Mare uneingeschränkt empfehlen!

Nikolas & Co sind extrem freundliche, umgängliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Valena Mare ist eine kleine Oase und nur ein paar Gehminuten vom Strand Plaka entfernt. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber, gemütlich und schön eingerichtet. Wunderschöner Poolbereich. Wir können dieses kleine Paradies uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Αυτό το ξενοδοχείο είναι το καταλληλότερο για διακοπές! Η θέα υπέροχη. Η απόσταση για να φτάσεις στη θάλασσα αγγίζει τα 5 λεπτά. Η πισίνα κατάλληλη για κολύμπι, τα δωμάτια πεντακάθαρα. Η εξυπηρετικότητα του Νίκου και της Μαρίας είναι φανταστική. Το συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα!!!

I have so many positives to say about Valena Mare apartments and the area as a whole, that I don't know where to begin! Nikolas is an absolute gem of a man and he made our experience here 10/10. He gave us his Whatsapp number and he goes out of his way to help you and ensure you're having a great time. Mari was also incredibly friendly and kind throughout our stay. We stayed in one of the smaller cheaper rooms but even so it had nice decor and I can't really fault it. The pool area is beautiful and you feel as though you're in the Caribbean. The breakfast is delicious - you pick what you want each evening and they bring it out to you freshly made. And on our final night Nikolas had some friends over and invited us to have drinks with them in the bar which was a great way to end our stay in Naxos.

We chose these apartments as we wanted somewhere more quiet and peaceful to stay following a few days in Mykonos and it is a little difficult to travel around without a car or bike, but Nikolas lent us some bicycles and we found this more than adequate to travel to surrounding beaches such as Agios Prokopios, Agios Anna and Mikri Vigla. The beaches and sunsets in this area are some of the best i've seen and I couldn't recommend this area enough for a relaxing break.

I am a really demanding guest. Mery and Nikolas made the imposible to satisfy my and they got it. From the advices, the late checkout, cleaning, silence and darkness to rest during nights. The pristine and delicated room... everything worked

During our trip in June 2023, we had the pleasure of staying at Valena Mare Hotel in Naxos, Greece. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the owner, Nikolas, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect.

The hotel's location was absolutely fantastic, situated near all the beautiful beaches in Plaka. A short walk led us to a gorgeous beach, where we spent countless hours enjoying the sun, sand, and crystal-clear waters. We were also delighted to discover that we could even walk to ride horses on the beach from the hotel. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to Naxos Town or Chora was a great advantage. It only took a short drive to immerse ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere of the town, exploring its charming streets and enjoying the local culture.

One of the highlights of our stay was the made-to-order breakfast that Nikolas prepared for us each morning. Each afternoon/evening we would fill out a paper that had all of the breakfast choices on it - we could choose as much as we liked! (Pro tip: always get the special treat/dessert!) It was so nice to wake up and not have to think about what we were going to get for breakfast and Nikolas' culinary skills were truly impressive.

I must also mention the wonderful housekeeper, Maria, who was an absolute gem. Not only did she keep our room immaculately clean every day, but her cheerful and kind demeanor made our stay even more enjoyable. She went out of her way to interact with our kids, playing with them and even surprising them with little treats. Maria's warm presence added an extra touch of joy to our vacation.

The resort itself was a paradise. One of our favorite activities was sitting out by the pool/bar at night, mingling with other guests from all over the world. It was a truly multicultural experience, as we engaged in fascinating conversations and exchanged opinions and experiences. The sense of community and camaraderie created by Nikolas and the guests was something we will cherish forever.

The grounds of the hotel are gorgeous with so many beautiful flowers and trees! One of the most memorable experiences was picking lemons from the lemon tree on the property and making fresh squeezed lemonade. It was a simple yet delightful activity that added a touch of authenticity to our stay. We loved sharing our homemade lemonade with others at the resort - Maria said she was going to make it again and call it “Sarah” in honor of me!

Overall, Valena Mare Hotel in Naxos is a truly special place that we will always hold dear in our hearts. The impeccable service, the warm and welcoming staff, the multicultural experiences, the stunning beach, and the delightful activities easily accessible from the hotels location all contributed to a vacation that exceeded our expectations. We will certainly miss this magical place and sincerely hope to return soon for another unforgettable stay.

The Valena Mare is an absolute gem of a hotel! Nikos, Mari, and the staff (whose name I don’t recall at the moment) are kind and welcoming and they go out of their way to ensure you have a wonderful stay.

We rented the family room which has a bedroom with a bed for two as well as bunk beds in the living area (it was just two of us but I think there’s enough space for four). There’s also a balcony with a few chairs, so lots of spaces for a small group to congregate.

The breakfast was included and you select your options the evening before so it can be prepared fresh the following morning (instead of a buffet where you don’t know how long things have been sitting out for). There’s options like Greek yogurt, fruit, a sweet treat (which was different and delightful every morning), a fried egg sandwich, & a few drinks, as well as options you could pay a little extra for, like a cappuccino or a different sandwich. The portions are small compared to portions typical in the US, but my husband and I found it filling enough & Nikos mentioned we could select a few different things if we found we were still hungry.

The pool is gorgeous and there were plenty of lounge chairs to relax on. And the beach is within walking distance if that’s preferred (Nikos also has a few beach items you can borrow- chairs, umbrellas, kids toys)

There aren’t too many places to eat within walking distance but Nikos is ready and willing to offer suggestions that are nearby. If you’ve rented a car there’s plenty within just 5 minutes drive.

If you want to have a wonderful and relaxing time you won’t be disappointed with the Valena Mare.

Our 4. visit there, beautiful place, perfect service, motivated and funny team. We are absolutely satisfied. Many thanks to Nikolas and Mary!

Nice place!! The rooms are beautiful and cozy. People are friendly and always try to help you and recommend u the best places to see.

Also, there are a lot of beaches close to hotel which are cute.

Las habitaciones y el ambiente es muy acogedor. Los dueños han sido unos compañeros más de nuestro viaje que han hecho nuestra estancia más agradable. Esta muy bien ubicada cercana a varias playas y a pocos minutos de la ciudad en coche. Sin duda repetiremos.

We loved our stay in Nikolas's hôtel. This is the perfect place to rest and enjoy Naxos's island.
The garden is beautiful and very quiet, the swiming pool very pleasant and our junior suite very confortable.
The beach is near by walk (5/10mn). But the place is far from the city, so you need a car or a scooter. The path was in renovation when we went in valena, so it can take more time to reach the hôtel but it wasn't a problem.
The breakfast is very good and complete.
Last point : Nikolas is so nice, very concerned by his guests. It is a pleasure to speak with him.

Excellent séjour, hôtes adorables et super, toujours la pour nous aider.
La chambre est super, lumineuse, propre et très belle déco.
La piscine est très sympa également, les beds / transats sont appréciables. Tout est bien décoré, et de nombreux espaces sont aménagés pour se reposer.
L’hôtel est très calme, situé juste à côté de la fin de la plage de Plaka (peu fréquentée en mai donc très agréable) et les services de bus fonctionnent très bien pour s’y rendre.
Nous recommandons cet hôtel vivement ! ❤️

Amazing hotel which feels like you’re in an oasis in the middle of the desert. Staff were fantastic, really helpful and even let us check out late. Room was clean and had some really cool features. 5 minutes walk to Plaka beach (one of the highest rated beaches in Greece). 20 minutes walk to supermarkets and restaurants. 15 minutes walk to a bus stop which bring you into Naxos town in about 25 minutes. This bus is quite frequent during peak season (approx every 30 mins). Would definitely stay here again.

Très bel hôtel avec seulement 9 chambres au calme, vous n'entendez plus rien une fois votre porte fermée pour la nuit. Lit un peu dur pour nous mais c'est un détail qui s'oublie très vite. Les jardins et la.piscine...une merveille
Un.peu perdu au milieu de nulle part il fait une voiture ou autre pour pouvoir bouger (nous sommes pas de gros marcheurs). Belle plage très proche de l'hôtel, joli couché de soleil garanti.
Accueil par Nikolas et sa femme vraiment au top, on voit qu'ils aiment ce qu'ils font. Bref si un.jour nous revenons ce sera ici.

Wir haben 5 wunderbare Tage bei Nicholas verbracht. Er hat ein wunderschönes kleines Hotel mit einem traumhaft schönen Garten, sehr nahe am herrlichen Sandstrand.
Nicholas ist ein toller Gastgeber und macht ein köstliches Frühstück, das man täglich neu wählen kann. Man spürt, dass er mit dem Herzen dabei ist. Schöne Restaurants kann man zu Fuß in 15 Minuten über den Strand erreichen.

We stayed here for 4 nights and wished we could stay for 4 weeks! I've never wanted to extend a stay more but this is absolutely perfect.

Nicholas is amazing. The rooms great, the pool and location are lovely. Just the right level of tranquility, close to some lovely restaurants and only 15 minutes from the main city.

We'll be coming back a lot.

Nice hotel. We came in off season so felt a little far away from anything like restaurants etc, but would probably be busier in the summer. If you do come in off season get an ATV or a scooter and it's close enough to restaurants and bars

Joli petit hôtel bien propre,personnel agréable, literie horrible pas possible de dormir matelas de 130cm pour 2 personnes dur avec ressorts qui vous font mal et vous empêche de dormir, voiture indispensable acces par chemin de terre a peine praticable, joli deco, joli jardin avec piscine, petit déjeuner sympa mais café qui n'en a que le nom en fait cest de l'eau avec un vague gout de café

Superbe séjour dans cet hôtel. Laissez vous guider par elena, qui vous conseillera au mieux pour votre séjour. Les chambres sont très agréables ainsi que l'hôtel lui même avec un jardin bien entretenu. Les petits déjeuner sont bon et bien fournit. Hotel a deux pas de la plage et proche des meilleurs endroits de l'île pour les restaurants et bars. Rapport qualité prix excellent.
