Villa Nicolas es un pequeño hotel privado diseñado para el viajero independiente. Todas las habitaciones (excepto dos) tienen vistas fantásticas al bosque y el océano, una decoración individual y están dispuestas amuebladas para asegurar más de intimidad a sus huéspedes. Piscina, Jacuzzi, restaurante con forma de rancho abre únicamente por la noche )se encuentran en un jardín tropical. Sheryl la gerente de Quebec le recibe en francés y Julio, un Tico encantador y muy profesional en la recepción, está a los pequeños masajes desde hace diez años, todo gracias a un gran ambiente acogedor. ¡Tendrás la sensación de estar en casa! Un lugar muy bien decorada recomendable encarecidamente.

20 habitaciones divididas en habitaciones estándar (cama matrimonial con opción para persona extra, minibar, cafetera) y suites (cocina americana totalmente equipada, salón, dormitorio, balcón y hamaca). De US$130 a US$140 por habitación estándar para dos personas, tipo 1, abajo sin vista; de US$150 a US$175 por habitación estándar para dos personas con vista al mar; de US$170 a US$225 por habitación estándar para dos personas, tipo 3 suite, suplemento de US$20 para la tercera persona (sólo en la suite); de US$215 a US$235 por habitación tipo 4, con dos camas tamaño queen, ideal para una familia de 4 personas; y de US$320 a US$365 para toda la villa tipo 6 en dos niveles (mezcla tipo 2 y tipo 3). Desayuno incluido. Precios ventajosos para un alquiler semanal. Es posible conectar una suite con una habitación estándar para una familia o dos parejas. Se aceptan niños a partir de los 14 años. Fabulous place to stay. Everyone we interacted with was so helpful and kind. The location is very central to restaurants, shops and the bus which goes right to the beach or up to Quepos. The rooms are clean and very comfortable, we had an incredible view of the water from our balcony, where monkeys would come say hello. We saw sloths, macas and monkeys without leaving the property. The pool is very relaxing and each day from 3-6pm the bar opens for incredible fresh cocktails made by Rami who is so lovely. Would absolutely recommend staying here.

The highlight of this hotel is the nature (we saw monkeys by the pool and beautiful birds). The staff are also friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately the rooms are outdated and we found there is way too many rules that makes the stay not so welcoming (not something I’ve experienced before). For example, no taking the towels to the beach, a list of rules to sign on arrival, sunbeds screwed into the floor so you can’t move them, even rules in the bathroom. There is also only 2 options at breakfast, again the menu comes with rules (no options to change any ingredients…)

Great hotel to be holed up in. Lots of Howler monkeys, spider monkeys, some Toucans all in the garden while we were there. Breakfast beside the lovely pool was simple but more than adequate and 2for1 cocktails each afternoon were enjoyable. Our large apartment was down about 40 steps at the bottom of the garden surrounded in tropical jungle. Local bus stops are 50m from the front gate and easy to use. Plenty of local and up market restaurants within easy walking distance and Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio a short bus ride.
