The flagship beer is excellent, the ambiance of inside and especially outside is great. The food is surprisingly good too - the pretzels and meatballs were the standouts. The tour is fun, if a bit "disney-fied" and the De Halve Maan brewery is probably a better tour, but here is better beer, food and ambiance.
Deswegen drei Sterne.
Ansonsten Touristen Abzocke. Sehr unfreundliches Personal im Shop.
Tesadüfen geçerken tabelasını görerek girdiğimiz bu bira fabrikasına bayıldık. Kanalın hemen yanında terasta oturarak altılı bira tadımı yaptık.
Fabrika turu da yapılıyor. Biz sadece tadım yaptık.
Had to fight 10 minutes with 3 waiters just to get an extra plate so I could share a dish. The place itself is nice, but don’t expect any sympathy from any of the waiters.
EDIT :
I'm writing back because I think you missed my point. We were a big group, and your tapas were hard to share, so asking for extra plates was just us trying to keep things clean and easy for everyone. You should see that as a good thing, not strange.
Charging for extra plates and cutlery doesn't make sense to me. When I go to a restaurant, I expect to eat off a plate, not pay extra for it. This is basic stuff, and I've never been charged for it before, not in Belgium or anywhere else. Saying it's not common here doesn't match with my experience at all. I'm from Belgium too, and asking for an extra plate has never been a problem anywhere else.
Your beer and food were great, but that doesn't excuse poor service. It's time to think about how you're treating your customers. Charging for basic things and calling common requests strange isn't the way to go.
If you‘re here, I highly recommend taking the tour. We payed 38€ for 2 persons and weren‘t disappointed. Learned a lot more about beer brewing and the tour is really nicely designed. The ticket included the final highlight: a beer flight with 6 different types of beer. My personal favorite were (chronological seen from the 2nd board picture): 3, 4 and 5. If you‘re lucky with good weather, you can drink the flight outside right at the canal with a beautiful view. Awesome experience!
I’m not usually a beer drinker, this was something else. I have converted to flavoured beer (Waterloo). My partner had a flight. He loved it. Definitely a must for drinks…
Sorry I was not a fan of the meatballs. I was expected it to be cooked in an oven not a microwave.
