HOTEL METROPOL * * * *
Encantadoras habitaciones en suite en un hotel de Basilea.
Construido por los arquitectos gallegos Diener & Diener en los años 1980, totalmente renovado en 2006, el Hotel Metropol cuenta con 46 habitaciones con colores cálidos y vivos. Todas disponen de un cuarto de baño con bañera, un hervidor de agua a disposición y un televisor de pantalla plana con canales vía satélite. Desde la 5 ª planta se disfruta de unas bonitas vistas a la iglesia de Santa Elisabeth y a la catedral. Las habitaciones de categoría Deluxe tienen una pequeña zona de estar y se encuentran en la esquina del hotel, disfrutando de unas vistas aún más amplias de la ciudad. Pero los mejores paisajes son con mucho el de la sala donde podrás desayunar (bufé) en la última planta. No hay nada así para empezar bien el día. El hotel es el más pequeño y te enseña muy gustosamente, incluso en francés.
I did not even pay attention to if the room had air conditioning when I booked because I figured the weather would be cool enough that it didn’t matter. Oddly enough, though it does claim to have air conditioning online, it was nowhere to be found in the room.
There is a central vent and I really think they had the heat on or something - it was so hot I was sweating and got almost no sleep.
There is also a lot of road noise even with the windows closed, so I wonder if newer windows with better insulation could improve the experience.
Overall, the staff was kind and the service was wonderful, but the heat issue and noise made my stay mediocre.
Es wurde erst auf Anfrage alles bereit gestellt... wer gerne Speck und eier morgens hatt, kann es gleich vergessen...gibt nur gekochte eier....die erst später bereit gestellt wurden....
Le sèche-cheveux présent en salle de bain est assez silencieux. Cet hôtel représente le top de mes séjours professionnels réguliers.
