I had an amazing experience at Hotel Ranga. The rooms are great, with hot tubs just outside. The beer was excellent and the food was phenomenal. The lounge and dining area has a warm, calming vibe and great scenery.

As an astronomer, I was hoping to do some stargazing but the sky was overcast. However, one of the staff managers, Eyrún Aníta Gylfadóttir, gave me a tour of the observatory, which includes an impressive 12" Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope for observing deep-sky objects and a large refractor for observing solar system objects, contained within a small building with a roll-off roof.

I hope to return under better sky conditions to get a true sense of the stellar beauty the area has to offer, but I do recommend it for anyone thinking of paying a visit to the area.

Loved the hot tub. No shower curtains so you have to watch how you shower. The owner was really nice and really kind.

Solo una escala, como ciertamente ya que este lugar es una joya de lujo y refinamiento en pleno corazón de la naturaleza. El salmón servido en el restaurante es uno de los mejores hoteles que hemos probado. ¡El toque final, nos dio la admiración de asistir a una danza de auroras boreales esta noche allí!
