Excelente ubicación si estás disfrutando la Islandia del Oeste, o bien estás empezando tu viaje en el país. Bastante establecimientos cercas, una ciudad muy bonita e incluso un geyser a pocos metros de acá que cuesta 400 isk la entrada (aprox) y tienen una torta local muy buena como a 500isk cocinada con el vapor del geyser

Pros: muy fácil reservar en línea con Parka. (2000isk/persona)
- Bastante espacioso para muchas Vans y campers
- los estacionamientos están rotulados y bien identificados, no parece una zona abandonada, lo que te da una buena privacidad entre un camper y otro (15mts de distancia) lo que es muy bueno.
- agua caliente incluida, tanto para el área de cocina y las duchas, acceso ilimitado.
- los baños tenían calefacción y había una antecámara con calefaccion que te permite esperar adentro sin tener que sufrir el clima, sobre todo en invierno.
- área de cocina medio equipada con lo que ven en la foto, el tanque tiene un medio truco para hacerlo funcionar.

- no hay hora de cierre, entonces podes llegar a las 12am si gustas pero siempre respetando a los demás campers.
- no hay cierre de cocina o baños lo que te permite acceso permanente.
- Hay gatos para acariciar y saludar.

cons: un baño para dama y un baño para caballeros.
- Un poco más de limpieza no estaría mal.
-precio ok para las instalaciones pero tienen lo necesario.

En mi opinión, creo que el local tiene un gran potencial que se podría aprovechar aún más. Me imagino que inicialmente fue un camping pequeño así como el turismo ha venido creciendo la demanda de instalaciones tambien. Una buena inversión le daría una visibilidad mucho más grande de la que ya tiene, y seguro un aumento en su clientela.

Está bastante cerca de las hot springs entonces es un muy buen punto de partida.
Podría decir que no es el mejor de Islandia relación calidad precio, pero sin duda no es el peor. Tiene lo justo para un turista ya un poco habituado con Islandia y sus camping sites.
Hay un número telefónico para cualquier emergencia escrito en la antecámara de los baños, útil por si pasa cualquier emergencia a reportar.

Muy bonito lugar, no parece siniestro como muchos otros camping jeje

Aún así pudimos ver auroras boreales.

I would avoid this location.... I have traveled for 40 years and never had such a negative experience with a room or a housing vendor. If they were willing to help us out at all I would not write such a negative review.

1.) there was active mold in the room and caused me to have a horrible reaction to it
2.) the bed sheets were not clean and had strange yellow crust/body fluid on them in multiple places
3.) the pillow had old blood on it
4.) we found food remains in the room
5.) the host refuses to email us at all during the entire visit and pre-visit... we had to get a third party to call them to figure out how to get in the building (staff is not on site). I am worried for other travelers who arrive and can't get in the building.
6.) the shower knob was broken and another hotel guest was nice enough to help us get it to work
7.) the towels had someone else’s hair on them
8.) there were a variety of small dead bugs by the window sill and on the blinds
9.) since we did not want to sleep on dirty sheets, we thus were unable to use the bed sheets at all
10.) we also tried calling the manager multiple times and could not reach them
11.) we tried emailing the owner multiple times and never got a returned message

Good campground but it was full. They got us in an emergency site because they were full. The facilities were generally clean except the community kitchen. This is probably because of campers who don’t clean up after themselves, not the operators. Cool cats running around too :)

Rude staff, will absolutely never return here.

Out of the 3 times my wife and I have traveled to Iceland, this has been the only negative experience we've ever had.

We arrived late at night on Saturday October 7th 2023 and parked for the night, as there was nobody in the rental office to pay for the night. We have often arrived late and would simply pay in the morning, before leaving.

We were woke up to an older male, with grey hair at the side of our campervan, who opened out side door and starting yelling at us, because we were parked on the grass. Every camp site we had even to, in our 3 years of travel are all grass and that's where you park.

My wife starting trying to calm him down by offering an apology and said we could move. He continued to yell at us about being on the grass and than said for us to "pay and leave right now".

Once I had got fully dressed and into a jacket, I proceeded to the rental office to pay. When I walked in, I again said that I was sorry for not realizing you couldn't park on the grass at this particular campsite, as we always had at other sites. This older male sitting at the desk replied with "it's because you are a stupid man, pay now and leave".

The site was large and in a nice location, I'll for sure say that. The bathrooms were at the time not at all clean.. shower was also not clean. The common area up front had overflowing recycling bins and garbage bins. The kitchen sink area, only cold water (which is fine I guess).

The main problem was the extremely rude older male working there. Would never return, because of his behavior. Not acceptable that he opened our camper side door and lost his mind about something that could have been explained so many different ways. Something that was in no way, something to yell over, let alone call me a "stupid man" over. Unacceptable.

Netter Campingplatz mit toller Umgebung. Leider ist der Küchebereich und Essensraum zwar überdacht und weitestgehend windgeschützt, aber nicht beheizt und auch nicht ganz geschlossen.

Toilets arent too great, in a container, apart from that its a nice camping

The campground is clean and quite large, but the number of bathrooms and showers is too few — given how many campers can be accommodated.

Průměrný kemp ale čistý, pěkný, nenadchne ale ani neurazí, dobrá volba když jste někde poblíž.

The room was ok for sleeping but the bathroom were really small for a man and I could barely sit on the toilet. Otherwise there was a fridge, kettle and a tea in the room(also a hairdryer). In the commons room was a French press and coffee available so that was greatly appreciated. We stayed there for two night and it was over all satisfactory.

Onvriendelijke bazin. Open keuken: koud. Campervan site ver van douche en wc. In vergelijking met de andere campings in Ijsland is dit de minste dat we hebben gedaan tijdens onze 2 weken trip. Geen goede faciliteiten. Als je de kans hebt zou ik hier niet overnachten.

Camping correct.
1 seule douche (eau chaude) et 1 wc par genre (h/f). Style algeco. Un peu léger lorsqu'on voit le nombre de campers qui circulent.
Avantage : un coin cuisine couvert avec les équipements utiles.

Chambre agréable literie parfaite

Pros:

- reichhaltiger Foodsharing Bereich mit zahlreichen Nudeln, Saucen, Reis usw.
- Windgeschützte, unbeheizte Küche/Aufenthaltsraum
- Straße wenig befahren, ruhiger Campingplatz.

Cons:
- 1 Dusche, 1 WC, 1 Waschbecken (bei Männern), 2 Waschbecken (bei Frauen)
- Eigenständige Reinigung des Küchenbereiches sorgt für das erwartbare Ergebnis: eher dreckig und unaufgeräumt.

L'un des deux pires campings que nous ayons fréquentés pendant notre séjour. Sanitaires insuffisants en nombre, personnel peu aimable, cuisine franchement sale.

This guesthouse is clean and cozy, well equipped for one night. However, the room is small and the walls are very thin so you can hear all the noise in the hallway. The location is about an hour from Downtown and Sky Lagoon.

Expensive for what you get. Owner is not the friendliest.

Campingplätzen sind sehr schön, aber den sanitäre Anlage ist grenzwertig. 1 WC und dusche für Damen, 1 für Herren das ist viel zu wenig. Schade.

Kevés a zuhanyzó és a vécé, de ez Izlandon nem meglepő, sajna. A konyha rész kemping viszonylatban jó.

Expensive (2000ISK/Adult), laundry and dryer not included (800ISK each!). One shower and one toilet per gender. Hot shower but the setup is not handy at all.
Kitchenette is quiet nice tho.

Terreny on deixar la camper pla i correcte. El problema és que tant el bany com la dutxa (n’hi ha un de cada per dones i homes) estaven bruts. La zona comuna de la cuina és coberta i hi ha gas per cuinar (+) però està bruta i desordenada, donca hi ha moltes sobres de menjar que han deixat altres campistes (-). El preu dins els estàndards d’Islàndia.

Cosas buenas:
- cocina equipada con muchas cosas que dejan otros campistas
- duchas incluidas
- terrenos planos
- se puede reservar con parka
- mucho espacio
- hay lavadora y secadora (hay que pagar)

Cosas malas:
- pocas duchas y baños para el tamaño del camping (1 baño y 1 ducha para hombres y otro para mujeres)
- baños no demasiado limpios
- no hay mucho espacio en la cocina y sólo tienen un fuego

Menos mal que somos españoles y cenamos sin problema a las 22:30, porque si no tendríamos que haber esperado muchísimo o cenado fuera con lluvia.

Schöner schnuckeliger Campingplatz mit vielen Möglichkeiten zum Kochen, egal ob draußen oder drinnen . Das Beste ist die Dusche, sie ist kostenfrei bzw. im Preis von 1750 Kr. pro Person mit dabei. Es gibt zwar leider nur eine pro Geschlecht, aber super Wasserdruck und schön warm bzw. heiß. In der näheren Umgebung ist ein kleiner Wasserfall und nicht weit davon weg sind einige schöne Thermalquellen . Kleine Außenküche mit reichlich Ausstattung ist vorhanden sowie ein Grill der genutzt werden kann . Die Stadt bietet reichlich Tankstellen und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten . 1,5h zu Fuß befinden sich die Hot-Springs bzw. ein heißer Fluß oder Bach wo man sich hineinlegen kann. Bilder dazu findet ihr reichlich im Internet .????????????????????

La verdad que es barato y tiene de todo. Lo mejor es la cocina cubierta, te salva de muchas en Islandia. El problema es que está muy muy sucio. Suerte que el wc no :) Aunque aviso también que solo dispone de un retrete y de una ducha, cuando hay mucha gente deberás esperar…
