A beautiful, well maintained hotel. The rooms were lovely, and ours had its own amazing veranda. The staff are courteous and professional. A perfect location in the older part of Milan. Easy walking distance to the Duomo or the fashion district.

Chambre très détendante à la décoration épurée,personnel disponible et discret,petit déjeuner de qualité servi avec les qualités citées précédemment,hôtel situé dans l’hyper centre de l’hyper centre ville ,mais dans une petite rue très calme ,que demander de mieux pour passer le plus agréable séjour à Milan !?…

Really lovely boutique hotel inside an old palazzo. I had a nice and restful stay. Good service and always a smile from the front desk. Cooked to order breakfast with fresh ingredients.
The location is also ideal - close to the central shopping area, Duomo, La Scala, as well as Milano Cadorna train station.

Ein wundervolles Boutique-Hotel im Herzen Mailands - echter Geheimtipp. Reserviert haben wir das Hotel ganz unkompliziert via WhatsApp - da wir noch abklären wollten, ob wir unseren Hund mitnehmen können. Die Kommunikation war super nett, schnell und informativ. Mindestens genauso professionell ging es dann vor Ort weiter. Unser Zimmer war groß, nicht sehr modern - dafür aber schön romantisch mit einer traumhaften Terrasse. So etwas im Herzen Mailands zu finden - ist sicherlich nicht einfach. Eine Mini-Kritik gibt es nur fürs Frühstück. Das war leider nicht so ausgewogen wie der Rest. :D Für uns aber definitiv kein Grund, nicht gerne wiederzukommen. Also: Bis bald!

A bit difficult to find and the entrance is inconspicuous but once there, the staff is great and the rooms are outstanding.

I booked and prepaid for a terrace room but did not receive a terrace room the desk attendant said it was because there was a problem with the terrace that they couldn't get fixed at the moment. I reiterated that the only reason I booked Antica Locanda dei Mercanti was for the terrace room and was again told there was a problem with the terrace and this was a free upgrade. As we were tired of driving and needed to unload our luggage and return our rental car I did not argue further. The next morning we found out that not only was there nothing wrong with the terrace but also all the terrace rooms were full. When we voiced our concerns to another desk attendant and pressed him on the matter we were told that there was an issue with the bathroom. We only had one night in Milan and the hotel was a frustration and a disappointment. They should have been truthful and at least offered an apology, we got neither.

A hidden gem. Located inside an apartment building, at first we were wondering if this would be for us. Not to worry. The staff are amazing, the building is authentic, and the rooms are beautiful, including our own terrace. Fantastic bed, great shower. Most of all however, is the location - we bought a city transport ticket and barely used it, as we were so close to the main attractions and many restaurants and bars. A great and friendly spot to explore Milan, without being in a chain hotel.
