Das beste Restaurant, in dem ich je war! Angefangen bei der Chefin, welche sich mit uns ausgiebig aber unaufdringlich auf deutsch unterhielt und am Nachbartisch mit den Gästen plötzlich französisch sprach. Man merkte ihr an, dass es ihr vor allem um ihre Gäste und guten Service ging. Auch alle Fragen zu Gerichten konnten beantwortet werden. Das Beste: nahezu alle Zutaten stammen vom eigenen Anbau bzw. aus eigener Zucht (Olivenöl, Fleisch,…). Gratis zu dem Essen gab es hauseigenen Schnaps und süße Nachspeise. Der Preis war auch so gut, dass wir ordentlich Trinkgeld da gelassen haben. Zum Abschied haben wir uns noch eine Flasche Olivenöl mitgenommen.

If you are nearby, you probably got here with a tour bus. Ignore all other places and go eat here! Very welcoming staff, good prices and big and tasty portions, and lots of cute cats.

Beautiful tavern by the lake, Georgia herself sat down to explain the food before we ordered as well which was a wonderful personal touch. Food was delicious, as was as the rakimelo and biscuits served after dinner!

La nourriture est vraiment excellente et tout est fait maison. Dommage que le restaurant ne se voit pas trop de l'entrée du lac ! Faite le détour ça vaut vraiment le coup !

Perfect, Nostimo. Wir sind oft auf Kreta. Hier passt alles. Sehr lecker, sehr freundlich. Und hausgemachten Raki gibt es auch! Spielplatz für Kinder - eine gute Idee für Familien. We will come back.

Sehr gutes Essen. Preis/Leistung wirklich top. Alles was wir hatten war außerordentlich gut. Die Besitzerin ist ausgesprochen herzlich und spricht fließend französisch, berät am Tisch und gibt einem wirklich das Gefühl willkommen zu sein.
Großartiger Abend, vielen Dank dafür!

We stopped here after spending a few hours on the lake. The places on the lake were much more touristy and did not seem overly authentic. Georgia’s was the real deal though. The cabbage rolls were outstanding, as was the service. They were the only place on our 2 week trip to Crete that served rakomelo (sp?) after dinner. So good, we bought a half liter to go. This is a must if you are at or near the lake.

Dropped by for lunch with my family before visiting the lake.

Its a short walk (5 mins) from the lake and a lovely place.

Free parking on site and it's quite homely. Very relaxing and cosy. The staff are lovely and the ambience is nice.

The food was okay, but not worth the price. I suspect you are paying 1-2 euros more for being near a tourist site, so it's not a massive deal breaker.

Two adults ended up costing nearly €64.

The chicken minestrone soup was the best, very tasty and hearty. The stuffed zucchini was nice but low in flavour. The fish was cooked perfectly but again lacked flavour. The lamb was very fatty and tougher than expected.

I ate lamb 8 times in Crete and this place had the toughest and fattiest lamb.

A good note is that they have lots of facilities for children. There's a slide and a play area.

Someone wanted to smoke in the garden and the hostess kindly asked them to smoke away from the tables as we had our toddler there. That was appreciated

A little bit disturbing was the number of cats there (4).

I understand they belong to a neighbour, it's not pleasant having cats watching your or trying to climb your table which has your food. Something to note of you have allergies or a phobia of cats.

Again the owner was helpful in having them leave us alone.

It appears to be a family restaurant and they are all very lovely and sweet.

notre meilleur adresse en Crête !!! Georgia nous propose ses légumes, son huile, son miel, et dans l'assiette: que du bon !! Inconditionnels de la Crête depuis 2007, Georgia s'assoie avec vous pour vous conseiller et prendre votre commande.

Après avoir visité le lac de Kournas, nous avons déjeuné chez Georgia. Les plats sont faits maison à base de produits frais et cela se ressent. Prix raisonnables.
