We happened into this store mistaking it for a nearby recommended big name place. It turned out to be the best mistake we could have made. The two "salespeople" in the store were delightful. They never pressured us. They showed us multiple options. We spent several HOURS there and enjoyed every minute. They looked at pictures of our daughters in law to help choose the best coler earrings. They went out of their way to be helpful. And their prices were much more reasonable than some of these big stores we went to before. Additionally they carefully walked us though the process of getting our VAT tax refund including a stamped self addressed envelope. As we waited for the glue to set on a pendant they walked us over to a local no frills inexpensive lunch place which served the best tuna ceviche we had on the island. A memorable enough experience that we got a picture of them with us - and we're in our late 70s so it wasn't for Instagram. If I could give 6 stars I would.

Great black pearls!

Wanted to buy pearl to my wife and daughter. Our taxi driver recommended Regis Carre as a no-risk seller. Altogether we spent 3-4 hours (felt like 1) in his shop while he drove us through the basics to be informed enough to choose right. After 15 mins we felt we are is good hands and with no pressure to buy. Finally left with a black pearl necklace to my daughter and a blue one to my wife.

Regis is an artisan of genuine passion. He took a lot of time to explain to us everything about pearls, show us many different jewels, and answer all our questions very patiently. Altogether a very pleasant experience, learning a lot about this unique craft, with absolutely no pressure to buy. It was really reassuring to find Regis to guide us through the process of buying pearl gifts, since there are so many pushy sellers with dubious products. Fully recommend.
