We spent 7 nights during our honeymoon and everything was amazing from the beginning until the end. The staff, the service, the location, the room and the food were excellent!! We are very grateful for the way everyone from the staff team treated us during our stay. They made everything perfect and exceeded our expectations. Thank you very much!!

We stayed a few nights at this hotel, service is great and the rooms are very pleasant. We had a direct access to the beach.
The food was quite nice.
The only flaw is that when the restaurant is full, service is quite slow and some patience is required. (Pole pole as they say in Zanzibar)

Picturesque hotel, perfect room, beach with sand as fine as powder, turquoise seas, the paradise we needed after a 5 day Safari.

250 euros / nuit pour un hôtel qui a besoin de pas mal de rénovation… et qui manque d’un bon service.
Très décevant de payer ce prix là surtout pour une lune de miel et de se retrouver dans un hôtel moyen.
Les transats et matelas sont très abimés et vieux, pas du tout au goût du jour, à plusieurs endroits les peintures sont à refaire… bref un bon coup de neuf doit être fait !
Attention le Check out est à 10h45 ! Très très tôt pour payer une nuit à 250 euros… après ils vous font payer 70$ pr rester plus tard !
Pas d’air conditionné dans les chambres, seulement un ventilateur donc il fait assez chaud.
Le restaurant est plus cher que tous les autres alors qu’il n’est pas incroyable.
Le service est très lent, certains serveurs ne parlent pas anglais, il fallait sans cesse demander qu’il nous donne la carte les appeler pr commander une boissons… tous les jours il leur manquait quelque chose sur la carte.
Nous avons été manger plusieurs fois au Bamboo Hôtel qui offre une nourriture exceptionnelle style gastronomique pour beaucoup moins cher avec une vue à couper le souffle.
Les prix du Sharazad ne sont donc pas du tout cohérent! Un massage 55$ alors qu’à qq mètres sur la plage c’était 25$!
Les activités sont hors de prix nous les avons faites nous même et elles nous ont coûté presque moitié prix !

Excellent emplacement entre Paje et Jambiani. Market et multiples activités aux alentours
L’ambiance de l’hôtel est plutôt apaisante et relaxante.
La structure est vraiment bien pensée. Plusieurs piscines et transat à disposition. Une jolie boutique propose de magnifiques articles.

Nous avons séjourné 4jours et 3 nuits au Sharazad et nous avons adoré notre expérience !
Chambre : nous avions une chambre sea view (N°1) qui était très confortable, moustiquaire, douche, toilette, petite terrasse menant a la petite plage privée. 2 ventilateurs au plafond qui sont fortement apprécié pour rafraîchir la chambre. Aucun bruit le soir si ce n'est le doux son de la mer en fond.
Emplacement : l'hôtel est situé sur la plage ! Et possède 3 piscine différentes ! De nombreux lit, transat et hamacs sont également à disposition avec pour chacun plus ou moins d'ombres. Nous avons même aperçus quelques singes (colobe rouge) se promenant dans les arbres et mangeant les fleurs
Restaurant : nous avons uniquement mangé au restaurant de l'hôtel (pas avec leur associé tenant un restaurant vietnamien) les plats étaient tous excellents et variés (poissons, viandes, végé ...) Ainsi que leur cocktail (je recommande le margarita passion). Idem pour le petit dej qui était inclus avec les nuits ! Et différents chaque jour !
Activités : c'est pour moi le bémol. Nous avons choisis de faire le blue Lagoon atoll (a 70$/pers). L'activité correspondait tout a fait a la description, cependant je trouve le prix trop élevé pour l'expérience que nous eu : uniquement 30min sur un seul spot (on aurait pu rester plus longtemps mais on avait fait le tour + on avait froid ...) Pas de guide avec nous, une zone surpeuplée avec des personnes (les capitaines des bateaux) qui nourrissent les poissons dans une réserve, c'est étrange ...je déconseille donc fortement cet activité (du moins en passant avec l'hôtel), même si il ne nous ont jamais menti sur l'expérience que nous allions vivre.

Had a beautiful experience at Sharazad!
One thing I would suggest is labeling the numerous wall light switches in the room as it becomes difficult to determine which switch operates which light, then you play the game of turning switches on and off continuously until you can figure it out.
The staff is very welcoming and friendly - beautiful people.

Perfect location at the beautiful sandy beach with huge choice of hammocks and sunbeds to relax and simply enjoy the charme if this place.

Hôtel magnifique, service parfait, restaurant délicieux, très bon emplacement.
2 gros bémols :
- Emplacement de la chambre familiale 14 (idem pour la 15) : à côté du parking et pas de fenêtre dans la salle de bain ouverte sur la chambre, donc bruit dès 6h du matin.
- Douche offerte dans une pseudo chambre avant notre départ en fin de journée : un filet d’eau froide, pas d’eau chaude possible. Assez scandaleux pour un hôtel de cette catégorie.
Problèmes signalés à l’accueil ( et déjà signalés sur Google), mais ça ne semble pas tellement les préoccuper.
À part ces 2 bémols, le reste est parfait

J'ai passé 4 nuits avec ma fille au Sharazad et franchement cet hôtel est génial ! Les chambres sont magnifiques, la plage est superbe, le restaurant excellent avec des petits déjeuners géniaux.
Cet hôtel reste à taille humaine et en cela, il se distingue des gros hôtels qui sont en train de défigurer la magnifique île de Zanzibar. C'est également un hôtel qui porte une attention particulière à l'environnement et l'écologie et de nos jours cela a une grande valeur.
Enfin, une mention toute spéciale à Emmy, la manager de l'hôtel : adorable, compétente, toujours là pour nous ! Emmy merci pour tout, j'espère un jour te revoir ! Et un grand merci à Farid également pour son accompagnement dans les excursions !
Bref, je vous recommande chaleureusement le Sharazad !!

Super endroit, super vacances, une équipe exceptionnelle, accueillante et toujours disponible, un restaurant de très bon niveau, de magnifiques installations, tous les loisirs à portée de main sur la plage (plongée, kitesurf…). Les chambres sont magnifiques, je mets 4 car les mitoyennes sont mal insonorisées mais pas de gêne on vit dehors…

Accueil agréable dans cet hôtel bien situé en bord de mer. La plage est magnifique à cet endroit et permet de se baigner dans une eau d’une couleur incroyable. Il faut juste vérifier les heures de marée. 3 piscines à disposition et un centre nautique.
L’appartement Family Home était très grand avec 3 chambres, 2 salles de bain, 1 salon et une terrasse. En revanche, l’emplacement des family home est vraiment décevant et ne correspond pas au autres chambres de cet hôtel. Elles se situent entrent les routes d’accès et le parking de l’hôtel, cela ne fait pas rêver! Je vous déconseille donc les chambres 14 et 15 de cet hôtel a cause de leurs emplacements!
Le restaurant est très bien et propose de la bonne cuisine. Le petit déjeuner est varié et copieux (fruits, viennoiseries, omelettes, etc…)

Très bel hôtel, restauration de qualité. Personnel au petite soin.
À quelque pas de la plage de sable blanc.
Des piscines très agreables permettent de se baigner quand la mer se retire.
Nous avons apprécié le cours de yoga proposé tous les matins.
Très bon endroit pour se reposer et profiter de la plage.
Attention vous serez soleil levant, si vous préférez le coucher de soleil il faut se rendre de l'autre côté de l'île.

Lovely boutique hotel at Jambiani beach in a beautiful setting. We stayed here before our safari in a sea view bungalow and upon our return in the garden view bungalow where we were welcomed by the neighbors (monkeys:). The rooms are pretty and clean with a porch, couch, quality linnen and comfortable beds. You can choose your favorite from 3 pools and several lounging areas on the beach. They have two restaurants on premises, The View also offers the breakfast and Dûyen is a great choice too for tasty authentic Vietnamese dishes. The staff is very friendly and attentive and always at your disposal, in general this place feels very laid back. Overall we found it hard to find a nice hotel in Zanzibar (definitely in terms of price/quality), but if you don’t mind missing out on a TV (who needs this in paradise) and the tides changing (this didn’t impact our trip, pick one of the pools), this is the best hotel and area to visit in Zanzibar

Sharazad is an oasis of peace, silence, harmony and relax. It was a pleasure to be here. From the rooms, to the restaurant, the staff and the whole environment. Quality and guest service was amazing, they are on details. The owners are such a beautiful, passionate individuals that love so much about what they do, experienced and with a huge knowledge and understanding of the island. I came here for dinner and I liked it but I just came at 11am I was going to have lunch and I started with some beers, I asked for the internet password and they said I didn’t order enough to have the password. This attitude gave me a really bad taste in my mouth and I decided to have lunch somewhere else. The beach also smelled kinda bad

They don’t give you the Internet password if you just order beers. It gives you a bad taste in your mouth and you don’t want to order more food. I was going to order lunch but this made me feel not welcomed and decided to go elsewhere

The desserts were absolutely amazing!! When I wanted to pay my card got declined, the owner said that I could come back when I had the money in cash and that it wasn’t a problem. Big recommendation!

Sehr schönes Hotel direkt am Strand. Die Hotelanlage lädt zum entspannen ein. Es sind immer genügend Liegen vorhanden und die Angestellten helfen einem sie auch dorthin zu stellen wo man sie gerne haben möchte.
Die Zimmer sind geräumig und modern eingerichtet. Uns haben etwas mehr Ablageflächen gefehlt.
Das Morgenessen besteht aus einem Brotkorb, verschiedenen Aufstrichen sowie einem Teller mit frischen Früchten. Zudem kann man zwischen täglich wechselnden Speisen wie Porridge, Eierspeisen, Pancakes etc. wählen.
Der Strandabschnitt vor dem Hotel ist eher ruhig, es sind nicht so viele Händler unterwegs wie anderswo auf der Insel.
Leider hatte es bei uns zum Teil Quallen und auch relativ viel Seegras. Sodass wir vor allem im Pool waren.
Die Zimmer sind geräumig und modern eingerichtet. Uns haben etwas mehr Ablageflächen gefehlt.

My overall experience was 5 stars until I received the Shahrazad Burger at the restaurant. We ordered some seafood and something from kid’s menu for our daughter and all was very delicious and service quality was ok! But when I the burger came on to our table it was not able to bite it as the burger bun was super crunchy and no way to take a bite. They tried to solve it by bringing another bun to my table but then we understood that the reason was the bread is not fresh! We still left happy as the staff was insist to help us and the rest was good.

We had a fantastic stay at the gorgeous Sharazad Boutique Hotel in the heart of Stone Town.
My favourite spot was the open space eating area, full of plants with boho vibes.
- The breakfast was complete!
- The rooms are spacious and neat.
- The bathrooms are chic.
My wife loved that they offer the luxurious Inaya Zanzibar products, kept saying they smell lush!
I highly recommend staying there for whoever is visiting Stone Town!
