The hotel is very old for the price they charge for a resort, you have to pay a fee of 50 dollars per night apart from the price and 100 more if they return it to you, it is very dirty and I will post photos, the carpets smell very bad and there is a lot Dust, I don't recommend it at all. They should repair it. It's already a 0 out of 10 in terms of comfort. The only thing I can recommend is the pool, which was clean.
I had a great experience at the Dolphin Beach Resort. The location is perfect! Walking distance to the beach and nearby restaurants and shops. The resort provided activities/games on the beach, which made my vacation more fun. I loved the idea of a drink and food stand they provided on the beach for beach goers. It was so convenient and the staff were amazing! They also provided live music at Flippers, their beach bar. The rooms are a little outdated but spacious. When I needed something fix everyone at the hotel was so attentive and willing to help. Everyone working at this resort was so friendly and kind throughout my stay. It does give an old school retro vibe, but I liked the ambiance! It was laid back and is a great stay for families. I would definitely return to the Dolphin Beach Resort.
Excellent location. Yes, the place is outdated (that’s why 4 stars not 5) but ZERO problems with room or cleanliness. The pool is large & spotlessly clean. Theres spots in hotel where sand gets build up from everyone- but you’re ON the beach.
Parking lot with parking pass so easy come & go. No waiting on valet your car is right there.
Would absolutely come back. The beach front rooms are fantastic! What a view
This charming, older hotel boasts a timeless elegance and a prime beachfront location, offering guests direct access to the serene beauty of the ocean. Despite its age, the hotel maintains a graceful charm, with well-preserved architecture and decor that evoke a sense of nostalgia. The rooms are comfortable and clean, providing stunning views of the sunset over the water. Guests can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, often enhanced by the sound of waves gently crashing against the shore. The hotel's staff are known for their warm hospitality, ensuring every stay is enjoyable. It's a hidden gem for those seeking a tranquil beach getaway with a touch of historical charm.
Loved the location. Doesn’t get any better. Housekeeping was nice and efficient while we were there, HOWEVER, they did not “find” the items I accidentally left in the nightstand drawer which included a pair of prescription Ray Ban sunglasses. I find it disgusting that a staff person would keep my stuff instead of following the resort’s procedure of bag and tag belongings left behind by guests. I will always believe someone on the staff stole my stuff!!! Never stay here if you want a resort based on honest workers!
Service in the Restaurant is very poor, very slow and they forget alot of requests. Nothing special about the food either and overpriced for the quality. Nice place to visit, stay at hotel on the beach, have drinks, sing karokee but go elsewhere to eat. You will be much happier.
We paid top price for a beach view room and we look straight into a sand dune. Our sliding door falls off the track and my husband has to pick it up. It doesn't lock but they have a stick we can put in there. Shame on you!!!! I want a refund
This is the worst hotel ever. The night manager bruce and the receptionist are very rude. Brittany the g.m. needs to address this. I saw all of these negative reviews and i see why.. you need to coacjh the rude young lady who answers the phone at night
Don't expect much from this place. Only reason I didn't give it one star is because the location is pretty great and you get covered cabanas on the beach which is quite nice.
The rooms suck for the price, and that's being nice. These are $50-$60 nightly motel rooms at best in any other location and you're paying at least 6x that here.
Balcony door literally is ajar and cannot close. Didn't feel safe leaving any belongings here.
Staff lied and said that the rooms get a "full service" clean on the 4th day. That didn't happen. When I requested that they actually clean my room on the 4th day, the front desk said they would guarantee a clean. Just came back to our room at night and nope, didn't even get the full clean. Pathetic and embarrassing.
I won't be returning here next time I come to St Pete. Treat this location as a last resort.
Nice location. Big beautiful beach front. Cabana included with room. Large pool. Rooms were nice and clean. Be sure to request a balcony, they have entertainment most nights. Drinks available at the beach. Also has rentals and cruises available for purchase beachside. Family friendly. Across the street from an outlet with a Publix and restaurants. I would stay here again.
So far a really bad experience . Check in it's supposed 4:00pm . I arrived at 3:40 pm did the paperwork work was told give us 20 minutes . I come back to the counter .at 4:20 pm was told no information when my room was going to be ready . Pluss was more people waiting in front of me . Really bad starting so for experience whatever star bad will finished bad ... Definitely I won't come back here anymore . I did a long travel pay over a week before . To have this beautiful welcome . .
Cannot beat the location and being able to walk to two parks and complimentary park parking with room key in itself worth it. Many great restaurant choices if celebrating something special
5 stars for Rebecca! Best bartender ever! She was so amazing and kind to me and my friends! She went above and beyond I’m grateful for her super service!!!!
