I arrived in NY on March 15, to discover my Airbnb was not available. It was St. Patrick’s weekend and many hotels on the Upper West side were booked; Hotel Beacon had a room and even upgraded me to a suite for the same price! I had to stay three days until my BNB situation could be resolved for my month stay. Shanise, Maria, Yomi were incredibly helpful. Miguel was also outstanding. He was able to arrange my stay to continue in the same suite room with the same price through the 17th! Thank you everyone. Whoever says New Yorkers are not kind, has never been to the Hotel Beacon. I am looking forward to the next stay there when in NY again.
Just returned from a three night stay at the Hotel Beacon and it was wonderful! We were upgraded to a deluxe double corner room with a beautiful view! (Thank you, Swapna!) The UWS neighborhood is safe and quiet and has a great variety of restaurants and markets. The kitchenette in the room is super handy, the beds are comfy, we had great water pressure and everything is very clean! Can’t say enough about this place!
The location was great, close to the subway and many great amenities, including a grocery store across the street, Starbucks, Central Park, museums and restaurants. However. The room was not clean. Found food on the floor, bloodstains on the pillow case and dust and grime everywhere. Icing on the cake was the mice infestation. I had mice gnaw on my canvas grocery bag and attack a package of cookies I left on the counter. Notified the front desk when I checked out and got a sheepish apology and a small discount but I think more compensation or action was warranted for the trouble we encountered.
The room was great, but the hotel did something to stop the main room heater from working. And we were restricted to one small heater in the kitchen to warm up the apartment. At some point in the morning, the head kicked on and warmed the room up immediately. Everything was great, but the heating. The room was very clean and comfortable. We loved our stay and will come back especially for another concert.
Loved our stay here. Close to everything and room was comfortable and quiet. Bed was comfy. Front desk service was great. Could not have asked for more. Yomie at front desk was a sweetheart
Booked a king suite and have email confirmation to prove it only to be gaslit by front desk who insisted it was never in their system that I had that kind of room. They put me in a room with a double bed. Staff couldn’t explain to me why my confirmation says king suite. Super bad attempt at gas lighting.
Great venue to see excellent music. Mitski was a really enjoyable show. Been cooking here for years and can't wait to come back again. Front row messaging is a great location to see any show.
I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Beacon. I was upgraded to a suite which was fantastic and so spacious. Thankfully since everything was going smoothly I didn't have much interaction with the staff, but they were always very friendly when I did. The location was great too - I had to be all over the city for work and it was easy to hop on the subway. I had a great time exploring the UWS and loved being able to get to the park so quickly.
Loved the fact you can crack open the windows and get fresh air. Lovely view of the Ansonia building and across the street from the Fairway that used to be open 24/7 when it was my neighborhood like twenty five years ago.
