We were here for a private lunch and short gnocchi-making class, but the food and hospitable service made our entire trip!

We had a large set of courses but the standouts were definitely the gnocchi and roast beef. We helped make some of the gnocchi (the staff claims it was all us, but I have my doubts), and the gnocchi had a perfect ratio of potato and flour so that it still tasted mostly of potato with a soft, melt in your mouth texture. The tomato sauce was perfect as well, slight texture and just light enough with a deep flavor in it. The roast beef was fresh and well cooked, with a great sauce to pair with it.

The homemade pasta definitely is a standout, and we will be back on our own!

A very good restaurant with good value for money, excellent food and service! The restaurant is centrally located and only a few minutes walk from the jetty.

The best pasta my husband and I have had in Italy-and we met in Tuscany 42 yrs ago and have visited many times. I had the Pasta Alla Nerano. He ordered the Pasta Puccini w Gorgonzola. We had starters of salad and grilled radicchio. Every morsel was cooked to perfection, and the service was outstanding. The wine selection is large with a wide selection of price ranges. We had a white wine from this region which was reasonable and good. Highly recommend this place for pasta, fish or pizza. Their beef selections were also tempting. They are located Via Marina Piccola at sea level. Go early to catch the sunset. They provide a free shuttle to wherever you are staying in town.

I had a lovely lunch at Vela Bianca while visiting Sorrento. I was travelling alone and stayed in the adjacent hotel IL Faro. The manager was really friendly (but not overly friendly) and other staff members kind and attentive. The price was reasonable for the location, specially given 10% discount as a hotel guest. I will definitely be back when I visit Sorrento again.

Ein hervorragendes Fischrestaurant im Hafen von Sorrent. Wir hatten ein hervorragend motiviertes Personal, die uns umsorgten und auch für einen Spaß zu haben waren. Unser Essen war fabelhaft, als Starter gab’s Pfeffermuscheln, dann hatten wir gegrillten Oktopus, Seebrasse und Spaghetti mit blauen Thunfisch. Das war alles ein Genuss! Der dazu ausgesuchte Rosato Chiaretto Di Bardolino war mehr als passend. Das Restaurant ist eine unbedingte Weiterempfehlung. Vielen Dank!

If you are in Sorrento, please make a point of dining at Vela Bianca. The service shared was the best we experienced during our week in Sorrento. Fish dishes, the pasta, wine (Greco di Tufo), and desserts were all outstanding. The fresh catch, and Seafood risotto were fantastic!

Essendo allergico al nichel e quindi un grande rompiscatole quando vado a mangiare fuori... ieri sera ho chiesto un fuori menú. Uno spaghetto aglio,olio e peperoncino. Che dire... Credevo di essere cintura nera nella ricetta, invece ieri sera mi sono dovuto ricredere. BUONISSIMO, al dente, piccante al punto giusto e cremoso. Ero già stato al ristorante in altre occasioni e ne sono sempre uscito soddisfatto. Sebbene, sia al porto di Sorrento non è per niente un ristorante "turistico" e si mangia molto bene. Il servizio è informale e molto amichevole e con i camerieri ci si scambia una battuta tra una portata e l'altra. Tutti i primi piatti sono eccezionali ma dopo lo spaghetto di ieri sera, per me lo chef è diventato un idolo. Ve lo straconsiglio. Magari invece di prendere il dolce, a fine pasto, chiedete un giro di spaghetti, aglio, olio e peperoncino!

My partner & I celebrated my 50th birthday here at Vella Bianca last Friday evening. The service, ambience and food were all spot-on, plus it’s I located in a quieter area of Sorrento despite being at the harbour. We really enjoyed our special evening. Recommended.

Al porto di Sorrento, cibo al Top e personale attento e disponibile. Dispone anche di uno Skyline Bar panoramicissimo. Il direttore Michele e il proprietario Saverio sono persone empatiche. Il ristorante offre anche un servizio navetta da e per Piazza Tasso. È un luogo ideale per diportisti in quanto punto di ritrovo della Rolex Cup. Nonostante sia una location Smart I prezzi sono adeguati. Prenotate è non ve ne pentirete.
