When we were about to depart from Ajuda Palace and return to the city, the information desk informed us about the Royal Treasure Museum behind the main building, and it turned out to be a fantastic surprise. The Museo Tesouro Real has an incredible collection of crown treasures ranging from gold and diamonds, coins and medals, jewels, precious royal brooches, and private collections that are worth checking out and should be noticed. Before leaving, I highly recommend checking out the museum's cafeteria, where we had one of the best Portuguese coffees with a cinnamon stick. The layered cake made by the pastry chef was lovely.
Bellissimo museo “ricco” di collezioni storiche. Veramente poco frequentato a confronto dei musei in città. Allestimento nuovissimo, favoloso. Meta ideale per famiglie e scolaresce. Gratis con Lisbona Card.
The collection is nice and impressive. However, it is super dark and you can barely see where you go. Also, it seems that the museum is 3 floors but in fact, it is only the 3rd floor.
Also, it is not huge and the price of the ticket is 10€...
It is so annoying that in Lisbon where the base salary is about 850€ you pay so much for cultural activities... It should be free for residente...
